*(*)--->Koalas!<---(*)*(New Update! And section is open!)

I recently looked at the summoning pets table and noticed the lack of anything that had to do with a bear. I then thought of my favorite animal(koala of course) and pondered how cool it would be to have a pet koala in Runescape so I made this thread.

<()How to obtain()>

You would get a koala by chopping down eucaleptus trees. The drop rate would be similar to that of god birds from nests. When you obtain it there would be a short custene of a baby koala falling from a eucaleptus tree and you catching it just before it hits the ground. It will then apear in your pack.

<()What they eat()>

Every one knows that koalas like to eat eucaleptus leaves, so why would they eat any thing else in runescape? You would obtain eucaleptus leaves two ways.

1.Using secaturs on a eucaleptus tree. You will get 5 leaves which are stackable and non-tradeable.

2. On the pet interaction interface you could tell it to rummage for leaves. It would climb up into a eucaleptus tree that is nearby and eat leaves while in the tree. Only adults can do this. This alows them to be happily fed while you chop down trees

<()Other info()>

Koalas have two stages of growth, baby and adult. You can have only two koalas at any time. You can only have a baby koala and an adult koala once the baby matures, you will get a message in the chatbox saying "Your adult koala has died of old age." If you drop out a baby and adult koala at the same time the baby will climb onto the adult. Koalas require 50 summoning and hunter to get. You can give an adult koala to a zookeeper in ardy zoo in exchange for a baby koala and 75,000 gp once per week.

Koalas aren't bears, they're marsupials.

Anuways, I don't see any harm this update would bring, so I guess I support.

Hehe everyone gets fooled by the name, it's just Koala but people said Koala Bear because the English used to say it. Eh, whatever.

I support. If we have a Platypus, why not a Koala?

I just want to clear this up, can players get a baby koala before having 50 summoning? Do any items increase the chance of getting one? If you can obtain one before 50 summoning, what will happen with it?

weirdo,I know why they used the platypus instead. Its because of how 9 year olds love platipi.

Nerdboyxxx,yes you can get one you just cant have it out. Maybe having 10+ eucaleptus leaves in your inv they will have a 10% extra chance of appearing?

Yeah that should be alright. And the eucalyptus leaf idea is good :) would they stack? (I'm assuming they would :P)

Nerdboyxxx,Yes they would be stackable(I wouldent want to lose 10 invs slots for a koala!)

Quelmotz,I see what you are saying but maybe, just maybe this would happen. WWF has employees that play rs. Employees see that rs is raising awarness to the koala. They give money to jagex for doing so. Jagex uses money to create new content. I dont think that it would happen, but maybe :lol:

you've obviously never been mauled by a koala bear before.

Those claws hurt :x there was one in a tree in my backyard (we live right in front of some bushland), we had to move it because we were chopping the tree down. Gaah they grip really tightly :ohnoes:

Dude, I totally support, but koala's are slow, so instead of walking behind you they should sort of clam them onto you, I wouldn't mind having a koala clamming to my head, it'd be cute.

Kangaroo's are awesome. They could possibly increase the chance of you jumping over certain shortcuts or something? Or maybe they could use a kick attack (those things can shatter your ribcage. Gettin kicked by one really hurts apparently :x).

Sounds cool , maybe as a special move they could kick you opponent and stun them for 5-10 seconds?Any Ideas? They could even possibly "sense" other kangaroos and box them if you remain stationairy for 10+seconds. Would be pretty funny at the ge :lol:
