knives669
There are alot of people at my school who love this game so much, we're probably going to start having Super Smash Brothers Melee tournaments during lunch. That's going to be awesome. :D
agresser
whaomgz i didn't know so many other people play this game too :D I play marth because he has blue hair and frankly blue hair is just plain hot. Jackalope is still better than me :(
Pressline47
don't hate on the c-stick darkrick, you can bet those intense players that do tournies and such use the c-stick if they think it helps, and don't call it cheap.
____
I don't hate on it. I just think it takes away from the game. IMO Smash Attacks shouldn't just be avilable off a single button press :\ It's like allowing you to do complex combos, in say Mortal Combat and similar, by just pressing one button instead of the required combination :-? If you get where I'm coming from... *shrug*

Most of those people lost to my friend and he doesn't use c-stick at all. He says it's against his principles lol. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Devilsdragon
pressing the c-stick is too much work, I don't even use X and Y to jump, even though they are suppose to be better >_>
Strav
anyone know who Ken is?? XD. I have met Ken twice, and he owned me the first, and I almost beat him the 2nd. Although I have beaten Isai... Now for Azen.... Acolyte of the OoC.

If you get where I'm coming from... *shrug* I feel that everything is so balanced in ssbm that even though smash attacks are powerful and easy to use, they can be countered fairly easily. If someone just normal attacks all the time you'll never get a smahs off. I think with good players there are no moves that you cannot stop. If you play against bad players stuff like the flame attack on fox and falco is cheap, but against good players it just doesn't matter.
stan18
i don't have ssb on the N64 or cube and never have, but i've gotten pretty good on both from playing at parties 8) YOSHI OWNS :P
wl_daniel
Fun trick: Play Giant Melee. Choose a small level and put on giant mushrooms. Things get crazy, and if you use Mario do his taunt. (small map+giant charcters+growth mushroom+Mario's taunt=!!!!!) Or Tiny melee and the mushrooms that make you liitle )poison mushroom?),and than the Link level

Exarch
I haven't investigated into it, but apparently some people have devised a way to play any multiplayer Gamecube games (even those not LAN-enabled) online. At a brief glimpse it looks like it requires Phantasy Star Online, and the broadband adapter of course. You can find the thread about it in the general melee discussion at http://www.smashboards.com - I'm too poor to be bothered trying it.
