Nuclear fusion research done, erecting nuclear power-plants as we speak, these will be able to generate terrawatts easiley, especially because they are using hydrogen-hydrogen and nuclear waste(in hydrogen-hydrogen it is helium, etc.) up to, but not including, iron. I also put up some backup fission stations using Jahrium as the radioctive isotope to power it.

Please note that nuclear fusion is not the same as todays nuclear fission.

My scientists now start working on small fusion generators capable of using liquid and gas fuel as well.

Random daily update time, oh joy!

Acceleration Engine: 15/18

Electric Shield: 15/20

New Hope Space Station: 15/27

TONSIL: 8/10

Ion Weaponry: 6/7

Project Freon: 6/15

Station at Oruguma:4/6 (I rounded it up so I don't have to keep track of post times)

Military Pods: 3/18

Colony on Zhoeruc: 2/4

Another section of New Hope is up, containing showers and civilian quarters.

The Military Pod researchers have finished coming up with a plan, and are now building the pods. They will build 30 pods in the 15 years of research time remaining, some with capabilities of being piloted by conscious fluids, some being piloted by humans, and some being remote-control piloted.

Also, I may have forgotten to mention this, but the two Mini-Hopes colonizing Zhoreuc will stay there after the colony is complete as security.

The Acceleration Engine researchers have found a way to negate the magnetic effect generated by the extra-efficient module. They are now working to see if they can make this module even MORE efficient. However, the plans for the current module are being distributed to all the Mini-Hopes, in hope that they will have the spare parts necessary to construct one.

The Project Freon scientists have bought the clones from Rpg (why the heck did I put Dusty?) as infants, and will make them into conscious fluids by next year. They are also starting research to see if they can come up with any other species than the conscious fluid.

A bit for info on the acceleration engine module (now going to be called the AEM for short) and the ion weaponry:

The AEM is about the size of a mattress, and manages to negate most resistance in wires within about 30 feet. Also, the AEM can carry an electric current with no resistance whatsoever, causing more voltage to be delivered to the target, and thus, higher electric efficiency.

The ion weapons have many different capabilities. The ion pistol, while the strongest, can only make a hole with a diameter approximately equal to the diameter of a quarter if the weapon is not moved during the usage of one cartridge. However, this hole can continue down a good 10 feet in concrete. This weapon has an approximate fire time (how long the ion beam lasts per cartridge) of 2 seconds and has a cooldown of 5 seconds. The ion rifle makes a hole with a diameter approximately equal to the diameter of a CD, and this hole goes down a good 5 feet in concrete if the weapon is not moved during the usage of one cartridge. It has an approximate fire time of 5 seconds, and has a cooldown time of 30 seconds. It is worth noting that the rifle is more accurate than the other two. The cannon, once finished, will make a crater the size of... well, I can't think of an object comparison, but the hole would be about 10m in diameter. The hole would go for 2 feet in concrete if the weapon is not moved during the usage of one cartridge. It has a fire time of about a minute, and has a cooldown of 2 minutes.

I was going to say that aswell, there is heat lock and that can't be stopped. and Rocco is right as susual that is what its called.

my AI system will bascially give me a complete race change and i'm just working on a way to reproduce (without a factory)

Does anyone know a non metal that conudcts electricity or if there are none that conduct electricity a metal that is quite strong?

Mather, there is a thing called heat lock-on, my missiles will [bleep] up your ships so bad they'll all be rubble before they fire their first weapon.

You can target and launch at over 2000 ships at the same time? My ships don't only out number yours but are also backed up by ground stations and out-speed and out-manuever you at sub-light due to their small size and light weight. My drones can also target your missiles, crashing through them before continuing onto next target.

And Hex, quarts crystals and graphite are good(at least quarts), non-metalic conductors, while tungsten is a really good metal conductor(it's used in light-bulbs).

I've been researching mechanised reproduction for a good 15 years now, because really, being able to mass produce your citizens is just a little overpowered. That research also has another 7 years to go, so it was 22 years for me, and it will probably be more for you.

Also, a race entirely based on AI wont work, there needs to be free will in there somewhere, because otherwise you can make up BS like "My race works for free, I get everything I tax and don't need labour costs"

I assume it will take longer for you due to the lower budget.

Can you make up for freaking mind already?

.....

Yeah, one more thing. If somebody doesn't respond to a question the first time, TRY MAKING IT CLEARER, DON'T COPYPASTE IT 3 TIMES. ITS ALREADY IN THE GODDAMNED RULES ANYWAY, LEARN TO READ.

And I suppose that will eat up about 75% of your budget for 30 years?

Not very tactical, is it.

EDIT: In fact, no, you still have like 27(?) years on AI research, so 57 years where you have a hugely reduced budget.

EDIT:I've got no budget at all however I do have 50billion stored.

Yeh but.... in the future it will be very tactical as they will be able to produce things faster. also AI brains will be very good at maths (and other calculations)

My new tech replacing defensive missiles are Expandoballs.

Expandoballs are basically super compressed balls. when fired they are the side of a tennis ball but on contact they expand and fill with fluid (a sort of gooey substance) extremly quickly. when the ball has reached full size (two metres in circumferunce) the goo solidifys and makes the ball about as hard as stale bread but not brittle or easy to rip. this nulifys small missiles and can be used as a self defence weapon. they cost 10k each to produce.

How much population increase do I have a year?

4/40 AI

4/15 Nanotech.

Wouldn't those things be like, totally and utterly useless?

That chemical reaction (And I assume it is a chemical reaction) would take about 10 seconds at the least, by which time the missile has gone past it.

You get 4% increase a year, not sure if thats accurate, but it seems fair.

Also, correction, you have 66 years without a budget.

No..... I have thirty years without a budget, where are you getting these numbers from?

also if I started thread with 10 million people and on the 11th so 1.4 and i'm slightly confused so i'm adding less on so it would be that my population is now 1.8/2.4/2.8/3.2/

i'm not sure what my pop is.

and no it would stick to the bomb and absorb the impact.

36 years for the AI, which already eats a lot of your budget, then another 30 for the production which also eats your budget.

That equals 66.

Also.

10,000,000 x 1.05^4 does not equal 1,400,000.

Hex, you're forgetting that there is very, very little air resistance in space, your defense balls would likely INCREASE the damage done to your own forces.

Ball shape attached to missile on planet surface = Air resistance slows it down, impact is lessened.

Ball shape attached to a missile in space = Low air resistance, not slowed much at all, 2 metre wide ball of hard material hits your forces at speed.

10,000,000 x 1.05 =/= 1,400,000

Yes, but

10,000,000x1.04=10,400,000

and

10,000,000x0.14=1,400,000

Either way, that's a disgustingly huge growth rate. Mine's at 0.001 growth rate, and that's WITH a project that was used to improve tourism. So either my growth rate is a great deal lower than it should be, or Hex's is way too high.

What?

Research still takes budget.

Your research will eat your budget for the next 66 years, without production.

Also, you misunderstood what I meant by production. I meant production as in researching a way to produce more people.

Also, you need to calculate growth rate like this I think:

[Population]*[Growth rate]^[Days since last calculated] = Current population

No, no, no.

Let me explain this in the simplest terms possible, so you MIGHT be able to understand it.

36 more years of research for your AI, that will eat your budget for THIRTY SIX years.

30 years for your production method research. This will eat your budget for THIRTY YEARS.

NOW, WHAT IS 30+36?

ITS 66! *Clapclapclapclap*

Also, you got your damn population wrong. Again. 10m*1.04^4 (Although as pies stated, this could very well be incorrect.) = 11.7m, rounded up.

THAT IS YOUR POPULATION.
