For anyone wondering it is the map from 1936, stolen from Hearts of Iron one screenshot at a time. Basically gonna steal that method of working stuff out. Seems sensible given that it is almost impossible to win button things on that system.

 

The Antarctic isn't on there, neither is the Arctic, or some of the extreme north territories... If you have units stationed there then tell me and I will do something. Also if you don't feel like filling in every little square you can do something on the normal world map and then I will translate that.

I see some errors with that map. Assuming that you meant to color code it similar to the way the old map was, that is. The most obvious error is that Taiwan should belong to Taiwan (...). I also have most of the Pacific islands but it'd be hard to distinguish exactly between which are mine and which are Britannia's, so maybe just leave them. We're both part of the NWO so no big issue there.

Those errors are probably due to my lack of posting. I'm still in control of my territories. Just not updating much, if at all.

Anything smaller than is allowed by the boarder lines can't be included for technical reasons, thus it would have to be placed on the nearest land mass which was included(Which is odd in that case because the largest landmass is a smaller island.

I'm actually rather sad that Dusty quit. He was a good antagonist (not to say bad guy) to the "story" of hegemony. We've all gotten mad at him at one point in time or another, but he really kept this game alive by portraying the enemy. Now that he's gone...now what?

Nah I used some of the factory ships I had in orbit to help. Really sped the things up...

The Navy is in its position. Basically, it's impossible to get to the Americas now without being detected and intercepted by a ship. All that I have left of my Earth fleet is now above Central America. Habitats are taking securing measures, including concealment, and locking all the blast doors, and basically removing themselves from the map. All my border defenses are now active. The three hundred thousand troops in South Africa are on full alert along the border.

But yeah, it can be neutralish for the time being, dependent on Sere and co taking control of it.

Communications with the new Lichtes race has captured public imagination, who see the SFW as the diplomatic figurehead of the universe(1). Communications exchanged has also yielded a trade deal(2) and so 10 transport ships have departed, their cargo bays half filled with water fruit for the new allies(3). In addition to this by interfacing the transporters before they departed a wealth of knowledge has been generated and though this has provided a great breakthrough in Valence Theory, all sides having a bit of the information but none all of it, when the research banks were brought together the answers became clear.(4,5,6,7,8,9)

 

Neptune has been covered by a third layer of water fruit, with the planet now in optimal conditions the so called 'Water Walkers' have moved in, providing housing for many billions of people, should it ever be required.(10) 35 Giga Tonnes have been harvested(12), feeding everyone in the system(13). The four interplanetary transports have been completed(13-17) The Neptune defensive network has a combined power now of 5000 lasers, meaning that over 500 kW of power can be fired if needed.(17-20) It was pointed out though that there was no where near enough energy production on planet to fire that many lasers more than three times. Thus, after a panic which wasted one project point(21), some additional research into the Electron lattice was done.(22)

 

Hera. Further investigation of the planet has failed to yield results(23) However the continuing power panic has caused more riots and the threat of losing control over the planet seemed imminate, to who no one was really sure, but the break down of law and order was only a stone's throw away...literally(24) The Riot was eventually brought to heel when a stone struck the geosphere's delicate glass coating, leaving an indent and a crack.(25) Within minutes the riot had stopped and panic set in(26) fortunately the new Electron Lattice research was called upon and within a day the area where the crack was developing was covered by a force field.(27) To demonstrate how strong the forcefield was Joe Thale, the Secretariat of Hera fired a laser pistol, one of the few found on the transports, at the forcefield, which briefly erupted in a shower of sparks but held firm.(28) And there was much rejoicing.(29)

 

Cybele's Hadrian's Ledges have developed significantly and by next year should be able to provide housing for 13 million people.(30,31) This influx of housing has prompted a major baby boom, effectively doubling the population in only a year(Though since most of them are babies they don't count for another 18 years...or do they...) (32) This has caused some moderate research into Growth Accelerators, the research has stimulated a wave of anger but also interest and happiness.(33) The research into growth accelerators has taken the form of genetic womb tanks which can effectively rebuild the human body, while leaving the mind intact. Arken Cromwell, Secretariat of Cybele, has undertaken the somewhat dubious option of allowing experimentation on human beings to take place, causing disgust but also happiness since the womb tank was perfected much faster than otherwise it could have been.(34) Only fifty deaths occurred, including misshapen forms created through mistakes being made, which has caused the drafting of an 'Adjunct's' position being created to moderate all three planet's policy choices.(35) In any case the effectiveness of the Womb Tank has shown itself by rapidly developing the bodies of virtually everyone on Cybele(36). It should be noted though that adverse reactions are not uncommon, sometimes nerves or blood vessels are scrambled creating masses of health risks, in addition to this millions have suffered short term(12 years) infertility while their cells readjust to being completely different.(37) This has caused widespread anger, but also a boom in less reputable trades and has solidified Cybele's reputation as a party planet.(38) Which has caused wide spread decline in mining operations.(39)

Tungsten-Iron Limpet- When fired it can be activated by a Quark Beam to either destroy itself(Tungsten Frequency) or to create Strangelets(Iron Frequency). The weapon is deployed simply by firing at the enemy using a Gated Torpedo Launcher. The Limpet is designed to flatten in flight, embedding itself in the hull of all but the weakest of ships. The Limpet then does nothing. If hit by a Tungsten Frequency burst the Limpet will explode violently, if hit by an Iron Frequency then the limpet will generate Strange Quarks which will proceed to convert the rest of the ship into Strange Quarks. If more than three mid sized ships or more than one large ship is converted in this way, in the same area, in the same year, then there is a chance of a Strange Field forming, preventing all warp travel out to .5 light years, any ship within the field when it forms will be thrown out of warp and their warp drive will be disabled, but can be repaired.

Quark Fusion Core- A power matrix which converts anything into power. The conversion ratio is 25% of the mass(in grams). So 1 Tonne(1,000,000 grams) would yield 250,000 Joules. The basic theory is that Quarks are held together by the Strong Force, which, by using certain frequencies of energy becomes destabilized. Since the Quark 'falls' apart there is no real energy intact or output, however once the matter has been reduced to its basic form it can then reform as light matter, producing energy and matter.

Quark Fusion Initiator- A semi-broad frequency pulse designed to convert anything(Except quarks, and anything lighter than 21 Daltons(basically anything below Neon in the periodic table and a few light compounds into Quarks, these Quarks then recombine themselves in different ways, the most typical being Deuterium. The Deuterium builds up over time, meaning that every so often(about twice a year for a normal core) it has to be collected, which means the core has to be deactivated. This also allows for the the maintenance the Strange Sandwich as the Strange Matter decays very slowly back into normal up and down quarks. If left for a year Strange Quarks will revert to 'normal' quarks(This does not happen in Physics but given the potential power of the Strange Limpet it seems necessary). In any event the formation of protons by the up and down quarks giving out bursts of energy. The initiator requires 20,000 Watts to start.

Strange Sandwich Casing- A sandwich of Electrons, Strange Matter then Electrons again. This sandwich is designed so that nothing within the chamber can escape and that if anything does go wrong within the chamber the internal forcefield can drop/be destroyed, rendering any explosion contained.

Material Chute- A chute down which material is fired to energize so that it can pass though the forcefield and Strange matter before emerging in the chamber where it is Quarkised and energy is collected.

The construction of Hera's Quark Fusion Core has excited many people but others are worried that it is too dangerous to be built on a planet. This has not stopped demands for Quark Fusion Cores to be built on every planet(1). The Quark Fusion Core has the advantage of being, effectively, able to supply limitless power once it is built, meaning that one core, with sufficient infrastructure, can service an entire planet or just one house, however the amount of time to build and the estimated energy to maintain the core makes the one house option a thing of the future perhaps. However this cannot be said for the ships which are already being modified to accommodate the Quark Fusion Core, along with the enlarged cargo hold so that it can be powered for the potentially long and dangerous journeys.(2)

 

Neptune. 43 Giga Tonnes have been harvested(3), feeding everyone in the system(4). Since there is a need for transporting water fruit to other systems construction of a super tanker(5 million people or 500 GigaTonnes) which is warp capable has begun, taking 5 years to complete(5-13).

 

Hera. The power panic finally subsides as it seems that energy will soon be plentiful(14) leading to a overuse of power, prompting one of the nuclear reactors to go critical(15) the clean up operation commenced immediately but thousands of radioactive fragments have covered the planet(16) this has however caused an increase in lead lined underwear, which has meant a drop in conception rates.(17) Further developments include the Bank of the Royal Gold Standard being set up(18). With the currency firmly backed on Gold, rather than inflating rampantly like most other nations a divergence has emerged, making 1 Gold Standard worth 2000 other monies.(19) Current reserves stand at Nine Thousand Gold Standards.

 

Cybele's unstable night life scene is still booming out of all proportion, effectively grinding the entire planet to a halt(20). With frivolity at intolerable levels it has become incredibly apparent that the womb tanks and growth accelerators were a bad move(21) what is worse is that the infertility defect has now been solved(22,23) Though this also has the tendency to improve the situation as the solving process involves resetting the genes to their original settings(24) However many have opted to continue their life of frivolity rather than return to their sub-utopian existence outside unbridled passions and complete irresponsibility. It has been predicted that this whole sorry state of affairs will take eighteen years to clean up now that Womb Tanks have been taken out of the public domain(25). This of course does not mean that they are completely gone, a number of private womb tanks have been produced and will probably distort the state of affairs for hundreds of years to come unless something is done. (26)

 

 

Asterisk has been exploded and two fragment have been selected. One 130 miles spherical has been selected as a new moon for Cybele to make into a pleasure resort, which will hopefully restart the economy on Cybele.(27) Though this has been heavily attacked by many of the denizens, but welcomed by a large number of the natural born(Who are 7 in years, but with growth acceleration are now about 20 in body and about 16 in minds because of the last year and a bit) Cybelens who had been sculpted by their parents into effective gods, but later chose to return to normal life because the entire experience was false, compared to the real world they remember being told about by their parents...how they would forge a new and better world.(28) Though the Citizens are in a minority, only about 30% of the population, above 15(the voting age), are natural born, their turnout is almost 100%, meaning that the government is largely elected by them.(29) The turn out by the Denizens is about 10% and most of them are the ones who have rejected the life of frivolity.(30) In any event the new moon is being maneuvered back by an armada of 15 ships. The second fragment is only 11 Miles across and looks a bit like a straight dagger. It has a largely Nickel-Iron core.(31) It is being dragged by five ships(leaving 5 in reserve for water fruit shipping) to orbit around Neptune where it will be outfitted with the essentials and then turned into the mighty space station.(32)

 

Also new music has been released Star Control(Super Awesome Game)(33) to accompany re-release, some hundred or so years later of the super awesome game that is Star Control II(34)

 

Fleets arrive at Asurna about a quarter way though the year begins transference of population. 2.2 Million, just under load capacity, choose to go with the Anti-War League(35,36). Mediators are left behind and if no one has a fleet in orbit within the next five years Asurna will convert to my control as a neutral entity(37) By which I mean that its population will be relocated and the planet stripped of all technology and goods. Fortress System remember(It just doesn't have the same ring as Fortress Europe...=()

Anyway my fleet turns around and starts heading back to Adrigas. Arriving on the 9th.
