I know, I just get annoyed when people use "The future" as an excuse for having new tech.

Oh, I was just pointing out how Mather's plasma shields have to be constrained by technical issues while Rocco's weapons aren't. I'm pretty sure they both spent a long time researching them, so they should be able to use them or both have to be constrained by technical issues.

 

More of whether Rocco wants to be technical or based on research time. He can't really go one way on one issue and one way on another issue.

I doubt a plasma window would be able to stop a railgun shot unless it was powered by a few hundered nuclear reactors. True, it can reach the viscosity to stop a bullet, but getting it to that viscosity in the area around a ship? That would take absurd amounts of power.

Downtime was spent producing dreadnoughts. Now production on stations will be starting, two and a half a year, or 5 every 2 years. Also producing 260 fighters a year in addition to those.

 

During the downtime my ships reached planet Yare, and have set up a base of operations near the mining zone. Tanks are on the ground to protect against the local fauna. We are now gaining 400kg of the new material (which will now be named Duna.) annually. The 400k we have already mined is going to be put into the warp drives of my 5 capital ships, and then 1 massive cargo ship to transport the material to the tefarn system., and 100kg is left over.

 

So, if anyone forgot that means that for those 5 capital ships at max speed they can go twice as fast in warp, and take only .5 years to speed up, and .5 to slow down. However they can still go slower in warp drive, in order to stay with their fleet. I'm now gonna explain the organization of my fleet. Any ships with modified warp drives will have a (d) next to them.

Here's the meaning of each ship for me:

Sa Matra. It's my flagship, and the most powerful ship in the known universe. It's equipped with two highly advanced modified planet busters, as well as a few thousand anti-material missiles. It also has an armament of 5 standard planet busters, fusion nukes, railguns, directed plasma cannons, cold fusion generators, anti projectile laser defenses, rapid fire laser cannons, plasma "shields" (More advanced than mathers, but not invincible. They slow down railguns enough to make them mostly ineffective, and have a small chance of detonating missiles prematurely). Also holds 5,000 fighters.

Dreadnought. Each is a capital ship, roughly half the power of the Sa Matra. They have the exact same stats except slightly weaker armor, and no advanced planet busters or anti-matter missiles.

Ultra Battleship. 1/5th the size of a Dreadnought, but still very formidable. Similar armament, can only hold 1000 fighters, no planet busters.

Super Battleships. Same thing, only half the size and 500 fighters max.

Heavy Battleships: About 1/10th the size of Super, they lack any large number of fusion nukes (though they each hold a few), and their plasma cannons are weaker due to their size. Can only hold 50 fighters at max.

Battleships: About 1/10th of a Heavy. No Fusion nukes, and weak Plasma Cannons.

Escort: Half the size of a battleship. No Plasma Cannons or shields. A Escort is around 1/4000th of a sa matra.

Fighter: Around the size of a jet. Hold micro-fusion missiles, armor piercing railguns and the like. Some are instead equipped with plasma cannons.

An expedition team has probed the surface of Gaia after setting up a large bio-dome base on a floating landmass. Despite Gaia's Earth-like environment, the atmosphere is indeed highly toxic, so all explorers must wear bio-suits and keep a supply of oxygen. Explorers flew dragonfly helicopters from Base Camp in order to survey the surface. A few explorers landed on the ground and discovered an interesting and diverse variety of plant species. Currently, no wildlife have been encountered.

The expedition teams in the Kajean jungles are currently still exploring. More information will be received in a month or so.

Rpg doesn't have a space fleet as far as I know.

 

Due to sudden map changes, my ships are moving to colonize the Tevan system. Any objections will be met with battleships and soldiers.

 

 

This statement is indeed false. I've actually been mass producing 'Ultra' Battle ships for like 40 years now. It was never my intention to have an army, but when Doom invaded me, I kind of panicked. Now I have a huge [wagon] Space Army and nothing to do with it. I recently mentioned that I halted production of these huge war machines in favor of smaller ones. Also, I was recently acknowledged to have a 5.5k reap of "construction points" per turn. Sweet.

 

I still intend to colonize Met'Al however I have little interest in the mineral laden planet that Rocco is after. I don't want anything volcanic, aquatic or desert-like though. If there's a mountainous planet, I'll settle for that. Oh, and since I'm practically at Met'Al already, I think I get first pick. :)

How do people feel about creating a small nations bloc?(Thinking Rocco, Kirby, RPG and Me. Nothing militarily just an agreement to use each others bases to refuel and ect. I mention this because if Piracy is going to become more prevalent(random events) then I want to be able to smash the pirate fleets).

I'm an independant nation as of the end of WWV or was that WWVI? whatever. I wouldn't give you a planet in Met'Al, but I'd be willing to barter with some of it, if I get multiple planets. Can I get a planet list of the systems again? I need to know which one I'm landing on.

And the production point idea you mentioned before, I'd be willing to help with that, although I'm not sure how useful I could be.

If you want to find a new system you need to PM me or Doom and talk to us, because obviously we don't want hundreds of systems cluttering up space, especially given that expansion will take time.

 

Probes give you the chance of getting a major random event.

Ok, scratch that, I don't need to find a new system. I'm sending supplies and civilians to colonise the entire Nexetras system. The first post says it's avaible, so I assume it is.
