Hey, I was desperate.

Anyways, it turns out that by calling myself a *camper*, I inadvertantly made them come to attack me first. I thought *camper* was a good thing~!

Commonsense really...

'Big death dealing alien, or so all the known races think, the obvious solution would be to try not to offend the race while also not giving up anything that belonged to you....' Should give me plenty of time to construct a second and third Kent, which will make my system neigh unassailable. Though at the moment I think the anti-piracy system is far more important....No point in carrying a sack of flour if it already contains weevils....

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Two things:

1. You said Kent was a one off thing. Now you're constructing two more?

2. I never did anything to offend them. I wouldn't know how to start, but you do know the aliens a bit better than I do.

I would have to say not trying to outsmart them or lie to them seemed pretty sensible.

Also Kent was there to deal with the threat of a total invasion from all the systems in the known universe....Now I need a slightly more powerful system.

Calling myself a *camper* was pretty sensible. Anyways, Ross was jumping on me about my mediocre fleet, I think that your Kents are far stronger. I'll be bringing my fleet back to where it was.

-------------

I think your Kents are fair, but not when I'm being jumped on by Ross about how my fleet is too powerful.

Hardly, I spent 30 years on Kent, which was more than enough time considering that I was devouring a planet to do it... If you want to develop planet devouring technology and implement it into build a space station and fleet to rival all others then go ahead...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Like I said above, I think Kent is fair, but judged comparitively I shouldn't have to reduce my fleet numbers simply because Ross doesn't agree with them. The total point value of my fleet is probaly 100,000?

100,000 is fairly sizable. I think 10,000 would be more reasonable for an offensively powered fleet... especially considering they need to be watertight and you haven't said how you are powering your ships....Nuclear?

I did spend time and money, though nowhere near that of Archi.

However, as a comparison, his point value will be upwards of 3 million? I'm not reducing my fleet numbers unless Archi tells me to.

-----------------------------------------

The whole point of the fleet is defence. The ships are watertight, but that is the same as making it airtight (you can't have holes in your spaceship can you!). Besides, my fleet works better as a defence, as it can be reinforced and supplied by the battlestation/earth to space refueling dock.

So, judging on what you've said before.

Their fleet would have a volume of around... 10,250,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 km^3

If it's similar density to the earth we have a fleet with a mass of 5,655,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 metric tons. I don't think 3 space stations will stop that.

Archi, can you assign a point value to the enemy fleet?

Arming-Modified artillery (world war 2 artillery, but bigger and modified for space (shoots projectiles))

Fueling-Rocket fuel to bring it from a planet into space, then refueled with nuclear fuel rods (fission, since I haven't researched fusion)

I think the density would be just slightly higher at 16.9 g/cm3....So about 3 times that...

My main concern is stopping them from pounding my cities into dust from orbit(This might not be what they will do but normative judgement by my player). If they land then I can deal with them.

Archi, can you assign a point value to the enemy fleet?

I will assign a point value when they get closer, at the moment they just look like a giant blob. I would recommend asking Grim about it though, since he has some experience with them.

Archi, can you assign a point value to the enemy fleet?

Where do you find the time to do such math?

All I had to do is

1 AU * 4/3*π*radius^3 for the volume. Then I found the density of earth, (5.5 g/cm^3) and converted that to grams per km^3 (550,000 grams per km^3), then that to tons per km^3 (0.55 tonnes per) then multiplied that by the volume.

Come to think of it, my math was probably off a bit. I think the real mass of the fleet would be around:

680,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Tonnes. Not a big difference really.

EDIT: With the higher density it's about 3 times more. But still.

Also, the fleet has around the mass of ten earths. I'm fairly sure anything they went near would get [bleep]ed up.

EDIT: My fleet probably has a mass of around 32,000,000 Tons.

The fleet would still be big enough to destroy anything and everything.

Why do we even bother with physics to that extent? This game would be much more fun if we'd just ignore something like that.

It's irrelevant anyway.
