Walkers are horribly, horribly impractical. The one redeeming feature of them is that they can maneuver a bit more difficult terrain than a tank. But they're completely useless, as an attack chopper could just serve the same purpose as them, only better. Walkers are just stupid. If you want an idea of a decent walker type, look at the walker from bf2142. That atleast has some merit.

another good walker design is the wraithlords from warhammer 40k, eldar. but i still would avoid walkers in general, you can have better, more stable firepower easier.

 

 

 

 

 

also paul, if not realism, atleast make technology that will actually stand up to the current level of tech; one shot from any of the current weapons will destroy it. aka, useless.

I get your point, maybe I'll just put this project on the backburner and start funding more towards space exploration, any of those spaceships still for sale Doom? Planning to search for a good source of resources since Earth's are only going to become slimmer and more expensive. And @ rpg are any of your LAARTS for sale?

followng up the plane that was shot down, it turns out it WAS a german plane. further examination shows that the pilot of the plane was equipped with the german mind/reflex/brain implant chips. we are intending to reverse engineer them for our own use

 

 

 

 

 

our plasma weapon intergration into russias current weapons systems was a success, but our aircraft development seems to have hti a dead end and no advancements were made

Alright, all my soldiers equipped with the chips have been recalled so that the chips can be added with anti-tampering devices that cause the chip to melt if they are messed with (which means they'll melt the persons brain as well, yay). Should be done within a month (eg. 2 hours real-time).

 

 

 

Also, I'm now at war with you Russia. My two million troops stationed on the border with Poland are now moving towards you. They should be within attacking distance in 3 months (6 hours).

 

A further 1 million troops have entered the tunnels under Germany.

The UK government has agreed to let the United Kingdom become annexed into the Kingdom of Eire. A ceremony has been held. I have full control of the British Isles.

 

 

 

We've had few conflict during the annexation process, but we have had some teenagers protesting it, but they were kept under control with security guards that were keeping watch over the ceremony. I will now have to stomp out the IRA, which should take a few years to accomplish. They have already become less of a threat just from the inclusion of North Ireland as part of the Kingdom of Eire.

 

 

 

The population of the Kingdom of Eire has soared, as well as the military. We currently have a bit over a half-million troops (including reserves), as well as a population of roughly 66 million. My approval rating is exceptionally high due to the fulfillment of my promises of a reunified Ireland.

Space exploration is running smoothly, with some asteroids discovered, tiny sub-planets, nebulas and other solar systems.

 

Although, so far only one planet that seemed capable of supporting life was found, but it was later revealed that it was only green due to massive amounts of copper oxide on the surface.

 

 

 

Terraformation is going well, with suitable containers for the solidified gases in development now.

 

It looks as if this will go faster than originally thought, and may be done in only 2 days(years) time.

Since Russia and Norway are at war, the Brazilian Navy has moved 12 supercarriers, a few dozen destroyers, 10 cruisers, 15 frigates and 12 fully loaded amphibious ships (landing craft pretty much) to military ports in Norway. Should any offensive be made against Norway, these ships will be moved into battle.

 

In other news, our research on advanced targeting/navigation systems is completed. All of our satellites are in the process of being modernized with this technology.

We are increasing our air presence to patrol our skies and we are making preparations for a possible conflict. We call on all Confederate nations to make preparations in case of an attack on our soil.

 

 

 

As for Brazil sending their navy to protect Norway, we will grant safe passage as long as my men aren't attacked. We are completely neutral in this war as of now.

The CERN meeting is still being planned. However, due to the outbreak of war in the East, we will hold the meeting in several months (about several hours) today. The meetings will discuss scientific research and how participating nations can fund it. Just because a war is heating up doesn't mean we can't progress scientific knowledge.

Germany has equipped 50 of its top political and military officers with exosuits, to prevent assassinations.

 

 

 

100 have been interspersed with the different military units, and 50 have been given to Germany's crème de la crème of special operations soldiers (who also have the new chips, meaning they're the best ground soldiers in existence insofar).

 

Brigade attachments to counter the growing number of walkers/mechs have been completed, and infantry units are being equipped with the new anti-tank weapons.

 

 

 

Production has also finished on Germany's new fighter jets, and they are waiting for orders.

 

 

 

Troops are being loaded into transports in Bremerhaven, in preparation for an amphibious assault.

Findenland is fortifying the borders with Russia and Norway. We would like to avoid war, but will move in if necessary. As of now, I proclaim neutrality and I have no idea of who I would side with, so I would try to avoid going into my country with out my permission.

 

 

 

More CN1's and infantry weaponry has been reproduced. More pilots have been trained in the air force and have been issued fighter jets. Citizens traveling to Russia, Norway, Germany, or any country involved in a war have been warned by the government. I'm not too sure how in danger you are from the current war. Germany is certainly making a move on Russia, but that's thousands of miles away from your island. But, I suppoes it's better to be prepared than it is to be attacked.

 

 

 

I'll send a dozen or so of my scientists to the CERN meeting, wherever it may be held. I'd also like to bring cloning to the table.

 

 

 

Initial defenses have been made, a checkpoint line has been maed along the border of Luxembourg, and the East border of Belgium. Soldiers have been told to be ready at a moment's notice. 125 LAARTs are on their way up from Africa to help fortify the mainland. Soldiers in the Vatican have been placed on standby.

 

 

 

In other news, clone testing is going rather well. There has been a 5% success rate in cloning unfertilized eggs of whales. If we can figure out why the 95% doesn't work, we can multiply the normal litter of any species by tremendous amounts.

 

LAARTs are currently not for sale, however when a significant surplus has been receated (or if they become obsolete to a newer Luxembourg project) they will promptly go on sale. They are rather pricey to produce (only capable of making ~80 per year) so they will be expensive.

They're interfaced with the brain, and set so that any signal it transmits to the body takes precedence over biological ones. While someone without the chip might take a couple seconds before realizing he's in danger, with the chip in you would realize it within miliseconds. They also have little hard-drives that the brain can access, which can store information (either history, or orders, its really anything the person wants to remember gets stored there, so it gives someone pretty much photo-recall memory).
