Dead clans Re-openining

Featured Replies

If former top 10 clans like Dark Slayers that are dead now re-opened do you think they would succeed? Or has warring changed too much since they died.

assuming: they re-opened with their ending list.

Yes I would think so, they made a massive impact in the Clan World before, so why not now?

The odds of them making it would be 1 in 20 or so: most clans don't survive, and are mostly ways for people to keep in touch with friends.

BUT, these clans have one advantage: they have the reputation set.

Just imagine DS opening as The Beatles coming up from the death with only Paul McCartney there. They still use the same name, but with onyl one original member, and they are holding open auditions. Wouldn't many old schoolers join that band?

ANd it's stupid to assume that a clan re-opening would be "outdated". Many of the staff members are certain to have joined other clans, and they know the new tricks.

As much of a "fan frenzy" would occur if a clan like DS re-opened, I can't say they would be successful. The clan world has simply changed too much, clans now are far more organized, higher leveled, and dedicated then DS ever was, so I don't think they would be able to adapt.

That and most clans close for a specific reason, and that generally doesn't go away when the clan is re-opened.

Lots of reason clans close though is that the leadership doesn't want to continue/can't continue and they just don't want to pass power down to someone else. Not always because of internal issues like activity or security.

I doubt they'd be so revolutionary, but it'd just be another clan in the wilderness. They'd either adapt or die, just like any other clan.

Problem is though with reopening clans, people hold them to almost an impossible ideal, especially in DS' case. And that alone could be a reason why a dead clan reopening wouldn't be successful.

Like you stated if Dark slayer Re-Opened with all Ex Dark slayer joining back, Its almost imposible Not many would join back since alot of them are ranks in different clans like DF, COR, EH, and so on Plus i Don't think Di would give them a chance to breath they would ruin every single Pk trip they have and wars because they wouldn't want want Dark slayers to become as Powerful as it was Once.

Good point there.

If they reopen with enough members, then they could have a chance.

No. They closed for a reason, and most ex-members are already in other clans now. I want someone to name me one clan that re-opened and succeed, all I know re-closed, fast.

Well, we have an example in BDK re-opening a while back. They closed back in RSC times, and re-opened during RS2. Their reputation was so high, that many high levelled members of other clans left, and joined BDK, hoping to once again rule the Wild.

Unfortunately, the leader scammed and hacked a lot of the members, and the clan died pretty fast. If it wasn't for that, they could've been quite the strong competitor in the new clan world.

Even though DS doesn't have that big of a name to draw in members from existing clans, they could form a threat. It won't be the same DS at all, it'll be a new clan that just happens to use (and possibly ruin) the same name.

I wouldn't use a death clan name, just for the sake of keeping their legacy clean. If you have the members that were leading it (and assuming they had the time and everything), having a new name wouldn't change the strength.

Well depends on the clan, for example DS had some quality members, if they have the right management in place they could re-surface successfully.
