gorgoroth
Well basically it comes down to this: When fighting NPC's like Waterfiends and Aquanites does Karil's really make a bigger diffirence than normal D'hide would? I've got full Karil's in the bank and im trying to decide whether ir not i should sell it. I am trying to figure out whether or not the diffirence it makes really is worth the extra money. If the difference isn;t that big i might aswell sell the Karil's and just use D'hide. Any thoughts on this? **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
Mungo0
To be honest, if the monster is using mage primarily, then I'd recommend Karils. If it uses a mixture, then D-hide, which has a bit less mage def but higher melee def. So on monsters like Aquanites (where they only use magic) I'd recommend Karils, and same for Waterfiends. Yes... Yes, that's what he said. :D
warlordsagan
I agree, use Karils at the waterfiends, yes I have found it makes a difference. "Be Excellent To Each Other"
RayOxide
Yeah it does, but to me it's like buying ranger boots and armadyl helm over snakeskin boots and god coif when ranging - not necessary and pretty damn expensive. I dont need a siggy no moar.
lagatag
Karils has like 30% more mage defense, so yeah, I'd say its loads better.

In this case the price difference is a lot less extreme and the stat difference is more significant, so you need to have a lot less cash to start with in order for it to be worth buying Karil's. I'd say once you have a mil or two to spare, Karil's is worth getting. And if you plan on camping waterfiends for charms, it's worth getting even sooner. (Well, maybe not, because then you still need the extra mils for the Zammy Spear or you won't get far anyway.)
