Gin_and_Tonic
Edit: Thought i'd just udate the question as opposed to making a new thread. Are there many good places to use dragon halberd? With relation to possible good drops.
JoeDaStudd
Obby knife or mace would be better. Only thing which beats the necklace+mace/sword+defender is saradomin sword. mister_moocky
Apparently it works well at tormanted demons, although their safespot is (was?) messed up. Also a decent speical attack weapon for large (2x2+) monsters. quit
ovorette
hallying blue dragons is epic win. I agree and often use it there on slayer assignment when I don't feel like training range.
Mike_Ike111
There is no good place to use a halberd. Anywhere that would seem like a good place, can just as well be better by attacking directly with a whip.

Well of course, if you have maxed out combat skills  The dragon halberd is a weapon that is frequently overlooked because it is perceived to be slow. But it hits hard; making up for its speed. If I can think of other places to use it for drops I will post back.
Jeffwilson99
People often use it to kill Tzhaar to Tokkul and obby drops.
Zaaps1
There is no good place to use a halberd. Anywhere that would seem like a good place, can just as well be better by attacking directly with a whip. False conclusion. If you just want to get kills and are not interested in melee xp (in other words, you are training slayer), using a halberd IS FASTER THAN A WHIP if you have cannon support and are in a single combat zone. That's because the cannon will treat it as multicombat if you are not getting hit. So if you cannoned with a whip, the cannon would just shoot the monster attacking you. But if you were hallying, it would shoot every monster in its reach, even though it's single combat. So for slayer tasks such as Black demons, hallying is FASTER than whip if you have cannon support. Of course, ranged would work just as well. But since it doesn't sound like you're trying to train slayer, I would say to just use a obby sword combo/whip. EDIT: The halberd doesn't hit as hard as a 2h does and it is the same speed. It's a junk weapon unless you NEED to be in a safespot (like mentioned above). "I want to save food" isn't an excuse, because the faster kills make up for the lost food. ~It's Super Effective! With relation to possible good drops. None, because halberds have the max hit of a whip with the speed of a 2h. And range is greater in most situations simply because it's faster and thus usually hits hard. At your range lvl, it might be more dpm using a halberd, but you got to start training range somewhere; in the long run, it's better than a halberd, but ranged lvls don't grow on trees.
