September 10, 200916 yr i can't stand around for 20 mins without someone spamming me on top of my character "selling (insert rising item here) for mid price" and a crowd of people would start trading me, causing a handful of spam. now, i have no solution to this but texts should not stack on top, instead it should stay behind the most current text until it expires, then the texts behind it would show, and so on. i understand that it shouldn't constitute breaking a rule, but its not worth having to use the ignore list on like 20 people each trade...
September 10, 200916 yr Unfortunately I do not agree with your solution, usually world 2 is so full that you cannot find a spot free of someone else. If a player makes a message a split second faster than yours it will only show for that split second which would be very annoying. Also I would hate to have to wait for my text to show just because someone is there saying something else. Already people use auto typers, I would hate to have to compete with a bot just to have my message show.
September 10, 200916 yr Yeah world 2 is a cluster-[cabbage], and the worst part is the hundreads of PMods and JMods don't even care. It would only take one Mod all of 5 minutes to mute all the autotypers and hopefully line them up for the BANHAMMER at some point in the near future. *~72,749th to 99 Attack on 9 September 2009~*
September 11, 200916 yr I found this to be a terrible issue when trying to sell anything, but its a shame nothing is being done... When i was trying to sell my Berzerker Necklace with junk some idiot kept popping beneath me saying 'Sell Zerker Necklace 100k', and i got spam traded by idiot pures thinking i'd sell a rare GE item for 100k. Although that was more an idiot player as opposed to a macro, i could see how they would both cause issues.
September 11, 200916 yr How about World 1? It has even more spammers than World 2, some of which involve "please gimme 5k" or "press 123 for a bf/gf". -.- BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention

Lol, nice attempt to troll  Its exactly the same, since the effect is the same - people spam trade you... Furthermore, anyone can type 'Selling zerker neck 100k' just as fast as any macro system, and do it over and over and over... Just out of spite. So, in theory, these players do EXACTLY what a macro can do. Better luck next time. =D> Edit: Hm, you might be talking about the use of macros to mine/wc, however given the context, im talking about those who auto-type... Anyone with an ounce of common sense should have understood that.
September 12, 200916 yr Isnt that why jagex invented Grand Exchange. 8-) Yes, but they didn't invent all the idiot Merch clants who make it impossible to buy anything in the GE. Jagex did however invent unrealistic caps on prices and prices that do not reflect the 'street' price of items.
September 12, 200916 yr I see why you could find this annoying.. Simple solutions: 1. Don't go to world 2 but take a less crowded trading world instead. 2. Just dump the crap in the g/e and be patient. That's what I do, it works fine for me. :D Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. Just dump the crap in the g/e and be patient. That's what I do, it works fine for me. :D You clealy do not understand the dynamics of using junk/trades to sell items that are rising... Why would he sell a 'rising item' in W2 if he intended to sell it on the GE, as rising items always buy out at max immediately... The idea of using W2 to sell rising items is to sell ABOVE the price of GE ... If you dont understand the post, dont reply with an attempt to try and be-little the author.

Max offer, adjusted it a couple of times, but finally did get it. It's a rare and it's rising sure, but you'll get one eventually. No need to fuss so much about that. You could also try every santa owning player you see for a "max offer", but I'm sure you can offer way more in the grand exchange at max, than in a person to person trade. -.- Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. September 14, 200916 yr Author ROFL at the mod edit. street price regulated by players guarantees that you can get the santa hats for that price instead of putting an offer at a ge price that no one will sell for...

October 13, 200916 yr W1 and 2 are insanely annoying and i avoid full worlds all the time. I'm talking about the people in the Grand Exchange, and Lumbridge. Those two places are the prime spots for idiotic players. Whenever I go skilling, the people that I meet are all really nice, and don't behave like idiots. I do overhear the occasional "stupid conversation" though, but I usually don't care.
