Blake
No, not the bannable kind. I have a lot of homework all the time, and I am looking for the best way to train on RS at the same time as doing my homework. I have been fishing, and just hit 80. I would like to do something that either breaks even or profits, even though I don't really care about profit. I would like to know about all the obvious ones besides fishing, woodcutting etc. Exp rates would be awesome too  Methods that don't require a lot of attention would be better, for example stringing bows = bad, cannonballs = good (I won't use cannonballs, just an example for time) Some ideas I had... WC vines (does an adze give you firemaking xp here?)Fishing monks, sharks, or barbarianCutting Yews into bows One thing I am curious about is smithing, crafting, and magic. Are there any afk ways to train these and break even, or like 2gp/xp at the most? I was thinking doing gold bars ->amulets ->string amulet. How much gp/xp magic is that? Is there any better way for smithing, magic, crafting, or any other skills you can suggest? Thanks!
gorgoroth
Smithing is an easy one. You can gain slow exp with CannonBalls, this will give you profit. Smelting Gold with Gold Smith gloves is decent exp for AFk but im not sure if gold bars sell. For crafting you can craft just about anything but its all going to lose you money. Only afk Magic training i can think of is Sting Jewelery. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
Blake
What would be the best thing to smith or craft, what are my options? Those are the two skills I would like to get up most, because I want all 80+. What is the best xp/hr, without losing a bunch of money for both? gorgoroth
Ohh, i can't really help you there. I'm going to have to take guesses on all of them (and i'm bad at guessing). **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]

Kaminto
I do Ivy when I'm preoccupied but want to be beneficial. It's the easiest thing I've seen thus far, and thanks to nest you make profit depending on your luck, I've got at least 800k in seeds so far. Rawr. Blake
Well I won't be doing string jewelry then, that's expensive. Thanks for that :^_^: And a question on the Ivy... does it move around or anything, like fishing spots? Or if you click on it, it will cut until you are automatically logged out after 5 minutes? Do you know if the Adze works on it? Thanks
Gin_and_Tonic
From what i've heard with Ivy, it doesn't move, but if more then one person is cutting the same spot, the xp is reduced. I just asked a mate of mine who was doing it in PVP world and he said that... If anyone can second this, it'd be great.

Darkvengence
I'm pretty sure I saw it move once. I was just talking to my friend when he was cutting Ivy, I went to the bank to get something, and I came back I'm pretty sure the Ivy he was chopping wasn't in the same spot. 3PointMan
Im in the same boat as you. I decided to get 90 melee's at armored zombies, which is AFK and profit. After 90 melee I will either get 99 Woodcutting or 99 Fletching. Ivy's disappea,r like fishing spots, the respawn. It takes like 30 seconds to respawn, and they are always in the same place. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
Master_Smither
Ivy is just like a regular tree except you won't get anything from it. It will be cut down to it's roots and then you'll have to move to a different section of ivy and it'll respawn after a period of time. The adze does not burn ivy as there is nothing to burn. It is probably the best thing to do if you plan to pay as little attention as possible. Turn the sound on and listen for your character to stop chopping then flip back and move to another section. Gandorf61
*edits* ^Pretty much what Master_Smither said. Ivy doesn't move. When it gets cut down there is a 34-40 second respawn time until it reappears in the same place it was originally. An inferno Adze will also not work on Ivy because Ivy gives no logs for the Adze to burn. Basically it will operate the same as a dragon hatchet giving no firemaking experience. if more then one person is cutting the same spot, the xp is reduced. That isn't true, you always get the same experience. More people cutting it down just make it fall faster I believe. Not 100% sure though. Besides Ivy other skills you could train could include fishing monks or armoured zombies. Fletching and cooking require fairly low attention as well. Blake
Alright, thanks a lot everyone :^_^: Originally, I wasn't going to train woodcutting again until I got the Adze, but as the Adze doesn't work on Ivy, I guess I'll be woodcutting. Thanks guys! Does anyone have any more info on Crafting or Smithing?I don't want to use Armored Zombies, because I love slayer.
Troacctid
With Magic, you could charge air orbs. You have to pay attention while you run to the altar, but while you're charging the orbs you get a good ~1:30 without clicking or anything. You can charge about 540 orbs/hr with no familiar or anything, and each is 76 xp. Should make a profit, not sure how much, but you can check. Blake
That sounds like a good idea, but I'd have to try it first. It might be a little too time consuming, because I'll mostly be reading books and stuff.
