Ulrich from Metallica

Lombardo from Slayer

Hellhammer from Mayhem (Albums after De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas... DMDS is one of the greatest albums ever and the albums after it generally are really bad, but Hellhammer shows his best on them.)

I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.

travis barker ;)

Likewise....

I have said this many times, I do not like Blink 182 at all. Yet I still know enough about drumming (drummed for 7 years) to know he is one of the best of our time.

Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

Keith Moon, or the bloke from Led Zep, i cant remember his name.

My freinds Alex is pretty dam good :D

John Bonham!

I can't beleive you're the first person to think of him. :( Listen to When the levee Breaks or Moby [bleep] (Preferably a live version, 20+ minute drum solo).

Heres a quote off a Led Zepp forum..

It always amazes me how some people claim that Keith Moon is the better drummer, especially people who don't know or understand rhythm or how it works in its relation to music. Ask any good drummer and they will tell you that playing fast doesn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t constitute good drumming. Keith Moon was a legend at his craft, no doubt, but in the professional league he was just a interesting thrasher. Granted, nobody could thrash like Moon but it takes a hell of a lot more skill to lay down a solid groove and incorporate swing beats, shuffle beats and IN TIME fills into your playing. Keith had many faults in his playing and one of those was his time keeping, he wasn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t the greatest time keeper in the world, he was fortunate enough to have Entwistle to keep him in check, so his erratic playing worked in that format. But he was limited to what he could do outside that , Bonham on the other hand was all about working in different formats.

For anyone that believes Keith Moon was the best, take time to actually listen to Bonham, and not for fast playing and crazy fills, but for a good solid groove, with cleverly placed fills.

Neither....Travis Barker from The Aquabats and Blink 182...Ringo Starr from The Beatles has the best time of all drummers...in the world...

ringo starr is terrible, he played basic beats that went with the music but he never did anything special.

Travis Barker is good, but nowhere close to joey jordison or neil peart.
