2008 Cornucopia's Uses

Featured Replies

I recently came across a Cornucopia while farming Chickens for bones (F2P prayer FTW, will be P2P soon though) and am wondering about its food-storing abilities. The tip-it guide only says that it simply holds the food, not "consumes the food and restores a like amount of hitpoints".

So what I'm wondering, is, if you happen to Jangerberries, which heal only 2 HP, but also 1 Prayer... When activated and full, would you heal 14 HP and also 7 prayer? I don't really expect it to, but if it did, that would be extremely helpful. Unfortunately, since I'm still F2P, I can't check myself and wouldn't be able to find out on my own for quite some time. If anyone else knows, or is capable of checking, I'd be much obliged. If it works, hey, now you've got a new way to heal special stats.

No, it doesn't.

Unfortunately, when consumed via Cornucopia the food loses it's secondary effect and only heals. However, not sure if this is really On-Topic, but if you put food that heals random amounts, the HP you receive is always at maximum.

I could see it being fairly helpful if you have a fruit bat at the gwd since each fruit excluding papaya only heals about 2hp but still take up 1 spot.

I find the cornucopia very useful, as you can use regular cakes and turn them into single bite food  this makes it a cheaper option then using lobsters.

My thoughts exactly. Blows lobsters out of the water for price(EDIT: Ok that Pun was definetely not intended lol, seriously). Great for training too, PVP not so much though lol...

Hmm, never realized it had so many uses, lol. You can only have one of them at a time though, right?

For higher levels the run out of use fast as they hold less hp than a monk, shark or tuna potato etc

Yeah i think this is right. I randomly got one in my invent for some reason and found it to be a pretty awesome item. Shame you can only get one though :(

You can carry cakes with you and double-click the Cornucopia to fill/eat them as if they were a one-bite food. Think of it as a converter.

Their uses are somewhat limited in members' play, but they're very useful in F2P.

You could bring a Cornucopia + 27 cakes and essentially have 27 lobsters.

I'm not sure of the merit of using the cornucopia with cakes.

If you're going to use it for PVP, you'll probably not want to draw your attention away to filling the cornucopia with the cake to actually then eat it unless you're safing. For monster battles, it'll increase the number of clicks to fully eat by 1, but reduce the amount of time to eat them all by a small amount of time. And if you're using it on F2P, there aren't that many dangerous monsters to warrant fast healing anyway.

For membs, I definitely see JoeDaStudd's idea for fruit bats. Now that pineapple rings have plummeted, I guess I'll use mine while I pickpocket in Draynor
