Seeing as i have an SGS and by that time ill have Full Bandos ill be Slaying with 10% Str Prayer. I haven't got a Fire Cape as yet but i am guessing getting one won't be all that hard. So basically which is going to be more usefull? Bladewing Posted October 23, 2009 Share Posted October 23, 2009 Fire cape. You get +1 attack, +4 strength, and +2 def at the cost of +2 prayer. You have 119 strength and 18 prayer. With fire cape, you'll use a 3 dose ppot every 13.33 minutes.With Skill cape, you'll use a 3 dose ppot every 13.87 minutes. So in 10 hours of slaying, you'll save about four doses of prayer potions by using a skill cape over a fire cape. It's still your call, but the accuracy and strength bunuses help also. The complete elimination of risk (you're only losing a little money, not time) makes taking the skill cape with me slaying much easier. The new game engine screwed up pray flashing which makes Jad harder than he used to be. Not sure if it is fixed though. So i don't think i've wasted too much money even if i dont get it. Also i've been told that the prayer flashing/changing has been fixed for jad. Aslo i need a kind of urgent answer on this: I'm not 100% sure on the sounds for Jads Attacks. I know when he stomps his feet he's ranging and when there's a meteor above his head he is Maging, but what are the sounds for each attack? Also is it possible to defeat him without luring the healers away? If you hear something before you get hit, turn on mage pray, turn range pray back on once you get hit and try to find jad. Once you can see him, just watch his attacks. When the healers appear, have them all attack you then move around a bit so only one of them can attack you. Turn on 15% def pray, heal if needed. Finish off jad.
