SEE MY BLOG > GOALS FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT GOAL LEVELS/STATS

Long story short. I am going for roughly 90 Slayer.. I'm 5k from 66 Slayer at the moment

Combat stats:

80 Attack and Defence

83 Strength

70 Prayer

74 Range

82 Hitpoints

80 Magic

Questions:

What master should i use for the majority of the time?

I am not spending points. I will save until i hit 90 Slayer then spend. What should i spend on?

I have 113M Cash available but do not suggest cannon as i hate them. Time is not of the essence for me. I have fun. Anything else i may need?

I have Proselyte, Whips, Most weapons, thousands of food, barrows armour and multiple things like Rune armour, Fighter Torso's and Dragon. Anything else i may need?

Stats are in sig. Goals are in blog. Anything else you might like to add feel free :) Im just up for some good advice from some Master Slayers.

First off, get a better summoning level. 68 is ideal for the use of a bunyip on tasks.

So if money was no issue (but not considering really expensive equipment such as Spirit Shields), the best equipment would be:

-Whip

-Dragonfire, but also with a Rune defender for locations where the defense isn't need or isn't helpful, and a Zamorak Book for ranging

-Fury

-Barrows Gloves

-Slayer Helm, of course

-Zamorak Spear, fastest way to kill metals and Aquanites

-Saradomin Sword, fastest way to kill Gargolyes and Waterfiends

-Bandos armor, with Prossy for tasks where you must pray

-Cannon with cannonballs

-Void or Armadyl, for tasks such as Black Demons where you safespot + cannon

-Saradomin Godsword, but also a Dragon Dagger or Armadyl Godsword for tasks where you don't need the extra healing

-Dragon Boots

-Berserker Ring (i), but also Warrior Ring (i) where you need attack more than strength, and Onyx Ring (i) where you need attack more than strength and you aren't using Slash (ex. waterfiends or mithril dragons), also a Seers' (i) for tasks where you range + cannon. Of course, for practicality you could forget the Warrior and Seers (i) and just use a Berserker and Onyx

-Unicorn for healing, Elemental Titan when you want healing and fighting, and Steel Titan just for fighting

-Karils

-Rune crossbow with Broad/or better, bolts

-Knives, for range + cannon fire giants

-Chinchompas, for Nech tasks. Ice barrage is an alternative, but not a very good one.

-Overload Potions, plus Extreme Antifires and Extreme Prayer

-Praying piety on all tasks

This about sums it up. Something you don't have to do, like the last 3 and the cannoning one. I find the SGS to be a great aid. Most of this is optional. Just look through it and see what you find to be useful.

As for the points. I would spend some of them first if you haven't done these yet.

Block certain tasks. Buy the ability to make the Slayer Helm, the ability to make slayer rings. Once you done that just save up and spend them on the dart runes. Here soon i plan on doing about 500 points on the runes to make a few mil gp.

Get loads of teleport items. (50+ glories, skill bracelets, games necklaces, dueling rings, elf crystals, etc)

Use the npc contact spell.

Complete every single lvl 3 clue you get as soon as you see them dropped.

Try different range slaying methods.

Have fun.

You should use Duradel as your master. Your combat and slay is high enough for him.

Also consider spending some points on the slayer helmet, it has so much benefits. Also spend some on blocking tasks.

As your slayer level rises, you get annoying tasks such as hell hounds, steel dragons, wyverns, anquitis (spelling?) etc.

Block the ones you don't like. It won't cost you tons of points, and when reaching level 90, you have plenty to spend.

A bunyip seems to work very good, so consider raising your summ level.

Spend points on slayer rings (learn how to craft, and just get them from the master). Also spending some for slayer dart may help you get enough runes without burning your cash.

Just thought I'd say this.

Cannon cuts a 1 hour task into a 15 minute task and can make a normal task some of the best slayer exp per hour.

If your serious about slayer don't go into the skill with hang ups.

I started off with the same ideal and no I use the cannon as many tasks as logical.

Same goes for my ideal for using only 5% prayers, now I use 10% on every task as it speeds them up a lot.

Don't set your goal at 90 try staggering it.

78 - 83 - 85 - 90

Due the to the time required for 90 slayer its a long goal and will just look extremely far away from 66

I agree with everything you guys say, but: how can u raise summon if you don't have charms?

Where do you get charms? Either by farming certain mobs OR by slaying.

I'm 81 slayer and I only have 60 summon. Why? Well because I raised my slay to L80 before summon even excisted.

So now I can't use the bunyip either simply because I don't have the charms to level up summon.

So it's kinda stupid advice to give someone: raise summon if it's impossible to raise without slaying

2016 goals: all skills +30mil xp - Completed this goal 11th December 2016 smile.gif
2017 goals: get at least 3 more master capes (start xp: invention done@21st Jan, mining done@2nd April & ranged 76/104mil done@June 20th) & all skills +40mil xp (done 24th August)

I was 77 slayer when summoning was released.. Raising summoning should just be done through slayer but I presume they're suggesting that he bursts rock lobsters or similar.

Obviously we mean raise it as soon as you can. But it might not be until the late 70s in slayer that you can get close to 68.

And there are ways to raise summoning without slaying -.-.

Which tend to cost a lot of money that is wasted if you're slaying anyway (and will have access to those charms).

Unfortunately, a ton of the best charm droppers aren't available until you're a fairly experienced slayer. Abby Demons, Nechryaels, Dark Beasts, and Dust Devils are all outstanding charm droppers that require a relatively advanced slay level.

OP is 66 so he can kill Dust Devils. And greater demons are decent crimson droppers as well.

Something else to think about though is if you can't/don't want to get summ up before then just buy guthans and use that on all your tasks. Just switch out the gear when you need to heal.

Use Sumona for most tasks its hwat i do and i get along quite well and get quite a bit of exp.

The best things to use for slayer are:

- Get Summoning Level of 68 to get Bunyip, or even bettewr 88 for Unicorn.

- Whip as a weapon.

- Dragon fire shield or Rune Defender as a shield.

- Slayer helm of course.

- Barrows or Bandos Chestplate for Body.

- Dragon Boots.

- Guthans or Saradomin Godsword for healing.

- Good food for higher levelded tasks.

- Proselyte for when you need to pray.

Thats about all i can think of Gl with your slaying.

I will clear it up again i guess..

ALL CHARMS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY SLAYER AND SLAYER ONLY :)

That way i can log them all and figure out just how many i make say.. Every 5 levels.

When i hit 70 Slayer i am going to raise summoning in hopes of getting close to 68 as people keep saying Bunyip is good.

So far you guys have been more than helpful! Really! :) Thank you very much :)

Im open to more suggestions so throw some out there.. Remember :P No cannon.

-Slayer Helm, of course

-Zamorak Spear, fastest way to kill metals and Aquanites.

I will buy. How needed is this?

-Saradomin Sword, fastest way to kill Gargolyes and Waterfiends.

Again how needed is this?

-Bandos armor, with Prossy for tasks where you must pray

-Cannon with cannonballs.

Eewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

-Void or Armadyl, for tasks such as Black Demons where you safespot + cannon.

I use Black Dragonhide and Archer Ring with Ranger Set. Is Void or Armadyl truly necessary?

-Saradomin Godsword, but also a Dragon Dagger or Armadyl Godsword for tasks where you don't need the extra healing.

Do i really need a Saradomin Godsword. I have Guthans always for backup.

Of course, for practicality you could forget the Warrior and Seers (i) and just use a Berserker and Onyx.

-Unicorn for healing, Elemental Titan when you want healing and fighting, and Steel Titan just for fighting

Im 40 Summoning -.-

-Karils.

I have black Dragonhide. Also it was suggested Void or Armadyl, now do i really need 3-4 sets of Ranging gear?

or... Does this serve another purpose?

-Rune crossbow with Broad/or better, bolts

-Knives, for range + cannon fire giants

Whats wrong with bolts and the safe spot on these?

-Chinchompas, for Nech tasks. Ice barrage is an alternative, but not a very good one.

I would prefer to Melee Nechs. What is good melee gear for them?

-Overload Potions, plus Extreme Antifires and Extreme Prayer

50 soon to be 60 Herblore so thats a no brainer. I only ever usually take 1 Super Set and 1 Prayer Potion (4).

-Praying piety on all tasks.

I don't pray unless i need to. Waste of Prayer Potions to keep it up.

[/hide]

Ok. So i have covered all that. So far i have:

- Duradel for tasks

- See above for armour equipment.

- Need 68 Summoning for Bunyip (Charms collected via Slayer only)

So what should i spend points on? THE BEST thing i can?

It helps out on most tasks. You can stick with the Whip/LBS if you prefer though.

-Saradomin Sword, fastest way to kill Gargolyes and Waterfiends.

Again how needed is this?

Same as ZS.

You can just stick with the Hides, those are for most efficient ways.

-Saradomin Godsword, but also a Dragon Dagger or Armadyl Godsword for tasks where you don't need the extra healing.

Do i really need a Saradomin Godsword. I have Guthans always for backup.

You don't need it, it does help. If you can get the Enhanced Excalibur that would also do well.

Karils is for those you need magic defense on, such as Waterfiends, Bloodvelds, Mithril Dragons and a few others. You can just stick with the Black Hides for now.

-Rune crossbow with Broad/or better, bolts

-Knives, for range + cannon fire giants

Whats wrong with bolts and the safe spot on these?

Knives are faster so the kills would come faster. You can use bolts if you like though.

-Chinchompas, for Nech tasks. Ice barrage is an alternative, but not a very good one.

I would prefer to Melee Nechs. What is good melee gear for them?

Just wear regular melee gear like for other tasks. Be careful though as the Death Spawns use magic which can damage you.

My replies are in blue.

If you read my post earlier it suggest what to do with points.

Since you have the Helm, you should worry about what yo block. You can also buy the ability to make rings and bolts. They help out, but aren't really needed. I would ultimately just spend the points on the 250 Slayer Dart casts. 35 points for 250 death runes and 1k minds. It is very nice profit on it.

Do not, and i mean not, spend points on the 10k exp. It is a complete and utter waste of those points you worded for.
