Ok, Im going to get the torags platebody, and platelegs.

Im interested to know:

Price to fix the legs when the reach 0

and the price of the body when it reaches 0.

 

Also, im struggling to find a sheild that looks good and compliments the stats.

Im thinking that a crystal sheild would be good.

ermm not sure on sheild (maybe obby? lol) but the cost will total around 150k, maybe more or less :S

Well, I don't know the exact price, but why wait 'till 0 to repair? I always repair my torag's whenever it gets to 75, sometimes 50 if I can't fix it sooner. It's might not save money in the long run, but it feels cheaper. Also, if you can access a POH's repair thing (forgot exact name), do it, it does make it cheaper by a fair bit.

Rune Defender is really the only thing you'll need for most of the time. Only time you'd need another shield is A) You need more defense or B) You have to use Antifire/Dragonfire shield for dragonslaying. For an actual shield, Obby shield, Granite shield, Dragonfire shield (If you can afford it) and a Blessed Spirit shield (Once again, if you can afford it).

I'd use a defender. Crystal shield is over-priced, and to be honest, torags is kinda ugly anyway so i wouldn't wear it to look good.

I never said the torags looked good. I said i was looking for a shield

that might look good with torags.

 

Also i cant just go out and buy bandos.....

for your price, Dragon sq is the best bet. don't use crystal, it degrades, and its only really good for blocking range attacks. as for armor repair cost, its not too expensive, and the armor repair stand in player owned houses makes it even cheaper.

The defence doesn't lower when it degrades except for at 0.

As far as the cost goes, remember you can use a PoH armor stand to reduce the cost of repairs based on your smithing level (half the cost at 99).

Very untrue. It only loses its defense at 0. The only point to repair it sooner is to keep from having to pay for it.

It doesn't even lose its defence at all. It simply becomes unwearable.

Nah you still wear it after it goes to 0. Just don't get the stats. Once you take it off though you can't put back on.

Personally I start repairing once it hits 25 as theres nothing worse then boss hunting with guthans or veracs and the armour or set effect becomes useless.

Ya that happened to me at Zammy GWD with a Karils Top. Not even one boss kill and it degrades to 0. Still got quite a few kills and made 8m over all from it.
