What kind of games would you like to see in Funorb?

Featured Replies

The long debate has been between two camps: those who love grand games like arcanists, aog, kal and ss, and those who like the smaller multiplayer games and the single player games.

Some argue that Kal and Ss lean too much on grinding, which shouldn't be the point of funorb, but to have fun playing games.

Others say that the internet is full of java/flash minigames, and a company like jagex should focus on what they can do best that others can not.

Also should jagex make new copies of older classics (yet another platformer, yet another tetris) or try to innovate and make something that has never been seen before (like there was something we hadn't played already)

Personally, I'd love to play reversi/othello on funorb. (just copypaste the code from runescape's gamesroom, how hard can it be?!)

I had completely forgot RS had a gameroom...

You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.

I'd definitely want more "epic" games. They're generally worth the wait, and usually are worth playing more than once/twice to try the game out.

S.S. is one of my favourite games. It has sufficient content for F2P players unlike Arcanists and Armies of Gielinor. I suck at KAL, so I'm stuck with Steel Sentinels. I currently have 1803 rating in S.S., ranked 125.

I don't find S.S. "grinding". Just play it as a F2P player. You'll get just about everything in less than a week, and you can forget about "grinding". And it's still quite fun.

I like some Grand games (like Armies of Gielinor, that's the only TBS I can play without getting thoughts like 'throw your keyboard out of the window'), but I like smaller games like Vertigo II too and hate how the Grand games pull almost all the players away from the smaller games. I haven't had a Rated game in Vertigo II for ages. :(

(Aog isn't an rts, its a tbs, the archrivals of rts but its a pretty damn good tbs)

I think grand games have more opportunity for content and updates.

I like a mix, I just find games like bouncedown and miner disturbance too funny to pass up on...

I actually prefer the smaller "pick up and play" games on Funorb. The reason being is I play Runescape as my "Big Game" and Funorb's smaller games provide a nice break as I can jump in at anytime and play for as little as 5-10 minutes. Although I'd have to admit AoG, Dungeon Assault, and Kickabout League are all really fun games, even if I suck at most of them. :P

I really like Miner Disturbance. Love the thrill feeling I get and when the adrenaline starts pumping from seeing the lava crawling up right behind you. :P

Orb defence is also a game I enjoy. I also got really into Steel Sentinels during the Halloween period, but after loosing my membership it isnt half as fun. :(

Managed to complete all of the training campaign and the first set of missions. The Solar Wars or whatever campaign was rather hard.
