November 14, 200916 yr In runescape when you finish a Quest you get the rewards all at once. Why not be able to chose xp and item rewards when you want.E.g In dragon Slayer you get 18500 str and def xpAfter Update You chose the def xp because your a def pure Or you have a high defence level and dont want it higher for pvp. This would work because the rewards would be the same, just available like claiming a costume. You would then be able to do quests that would make your account better without the side affects. How It would work would be when you finish a quest you get a screen with the rewards listed on it and the ability to pick what you want. If you change your mind then you could go back and get the remaining rewards when you want. Clicky Here For My Defence Pure GUide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A Guide To Range Tanks
November 14, 200916 yr For some quests, I think the really old ones that are F2P, you get different experience depending on your skill level. Would the game just hold the exp you would have gotten then despite you leveling up in the meantime? Would it be an all-or-nothing exp? or skill-by-skill exp? Can't really say I'm against this, although I have no issues with the current reward setup. I like pures complaining more about how they can't do quests instead of the rewards. I've never seen Sixth Sense nor Inception nor many other popular movies and I intend to keep it that way.
November 14, 200916 yr tough luck pures you decide to cheat the combat triangle dont expect to get any help in return :shame: Noobs: We pay we sayJaGeX: How much will you pay?
November 14, 200916 yr Author the_korny, As far as I know the current f2p quests dont give different xp,and remember no pure could (I Hope Atleast)finish wgs anyway. Clicky Here For My Defence Pure GUide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A Guide To Range Tanks
November 15, 200916 yr Absolutely not. I can only see pures, both combat and skill, benefiting from this change. Combat pures came about to exploit the wilderness system and gain an advantage over players of a similar combat level, while I presume low combat level skillers play that way for the certain challenge or enjoyment. However you decide to play the game is your choice, but Jagex should not be tailoring their content to make it more accessible to these types of specialist accounts. If you really want quest rewards, then go ahead and get them, but realize that you may have to play all aspects of the game.
November 16, 200916 yr Author New Idea:To do a quest that has quest requirements e.g Desert Treasure you must collect all rewards making it not possible to get the rewards of legends without defence.(As an Example)Then pures or anyone could stop at one point, but not forever if you are a pker in f2p then you go mems and want Ava's Accumulator then tough luck get Prayer Xp. November 16, 200916 yr Your just trying to bend the quests so its easier to be a pure? You last post pretty much say leave it as it is, which is best done. You complete the quest you get the reward, no ifs or buts. November 16, 200916 yr Don't change them.. Simple is it. If you want to be a pure you surely shouldn't expect to have the game twisted in your favour Feel free to stop by our community for lots of new experiences, alot of new friendly faces and proffesional ingame experience.Visit us at:WG forumsWG Memberlist
November 17, 200916 yr It's not a broken system, why fix it? Besides only pures would benefit. Remember what is a pure. A pure is a type of player who voluntarily forgoes certain aspects of the game in an attempt to gain the upper hand over other players. So if you elect to ignore certain parts of the game, then Jagex should not custom tailor their game to you. ~It's Super Effective! (The Zaaps Blog)~My YouTube Channel, where you get to watch me go around and make a fool out of myself and all comp capersGuides:~Yeah I wrote them once~Suggestions:~Yeah I made those once~
November 17, 200916 yr That's a fact you have to accept as a pure. You've VOLUNTARILY chosen to be disadvantaged in some parts of the game in return for better performance in PvP situations. Why should Jagex help you when they never FORCED you to be a pure? Click here for an awesome suggestion to revive smithing!
November 17, 200916 yr One of the disadvantages to being a no-combat pure is that your character will never enjoy the benefits of a quest cape. That being said, making yourself a pure and then whining that the game doesn't accommodate you is like voluntarily lodging a hatchet into your skull, and then complaining that stores discriminate against you by not putting wider doors in for people with hatchets in their head, and how the handle keeps preventing you from entering in normally.
November 19, 200916 yr I don't see why not.Forget about all the whiners here (I guess I'm going to get flamed for that...)Thinking through it, there really is not reason for me to disagree, so I support :D.

November 22, 200916 yr Not supported, some quests stop pures from gaining too much power. (Recipe for Disaster / Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf for example) Proud owner of the Quest Cape since 31/08Quest suggestion: The Shadow of a Delver
November 26, 200916 yr You do the quest, you get the reward, simple as that. There really shouldn't be a need to choose the reward, because face it, free exp is awesome no matter what. Besides, who cares about pures? They choose to be disadvantaged in most combat situations just to be more powerful in PvP. If they are disadvantaged in these situations then it's common sense for them to be disadvantaged in rewards as well. You CHOOSE to ignore certain aspects of the game, so in turn you get less rewards. The fact that they trained Combat in a very specific way in order to gain advantage on one aspect of the game, does not mean they should be disadvantaged in another.
November 26, 200916 yr The fact that they trained Combat in a very specific way in order to gain advantage on one aspect of the game, does not mean they should be disadvantaged in another.mmm yes it does.By training in a specific way your limiting your character. By your logic if your an F2P pure character is not fair that others can train in members and use F2P.Another example; if I don't have 70 agility but 99 melee stats should be allowed in sara gwd. Its a game of choices and paths, when a player creates a pure they know there limiting there player to set paths. November 26, 200916 yr But it goes against the whole point of a pure. A pure is a character for pvp with no extra baggage (defence). Pures ought to stay a character with no extra baggage. Its the equivalent of asking for defence levels not to add to your combat level. Pures are fine as they are. They choose to drop excess levels and it should stay this way.
