wioneo Posted October 24, 2005 Share Posted October 24, 2005 I haven't be able to play RS for three months :cry: Yes, I know it's sad. This is because of an error that I have been having. Whenever I am killing something for longer than a minute, I get this error . I tried ignoring it, but I can't move or log out after it appears. So, I have to reopen the browser and rush to log back into the world that I was on to see if I've died. So far I have been lucky, but I don't know how much longer that will last. I just mined and fished for a while, but if I can't kill stuff, I just don't see the point of playing. Can anyone help me? EDIT: For some reason, the entire Tip.it site is running very slowly. Is this just me? I think you should sent a report to microsoft about this. I'm not that worried about dieing(sp) Anyway, now that I can move a bit after the glitch I just switch on protect from melee. BACK ON TOPIC So, does anyone have any other ideas? I am absolutely certain that other people play Runescape with IE(Jagex referred it) without this problem. So switching to Firefox really wouldn't be a solution, it would just be ignoring a problem, in a way that I don't like, I might add. Also I have Windows XP Service Pack 2, 512mb of RAM, multiple firewalls/blockers/scanners, and a high-speed bellsouth cable modem. It is 400-600kbps I think. I'm not that worried about dieing(sp) Anyway, now that I can move a bit after the glitch I just switch on protect from melee. BACK ON TOPIC So, does anyone have any other ideas? I am absolutely certain that other people play Runescape with IE(Jagex referred it) without this problem. So switching to Firefox really wouldn't be a solution, it would just be ignoring a problem, in a way that I don't like, I might add. Also I have Windows XP Service Pack 2, 512mb of RAM, multiple firewalls/blockers/scanners, and a high-speed bellsouth cable modem. It is 400-600kbps I think. I just thought that some of that might help. Good Night, I'll check this tomorrow. I don't know really much about computers, but could the virus scanners be the problem? Using more than one can cause conflicts and in a worst case scenario be just as secure as having no firewall. After I select a world, the loading bar moves back and then freezes. This is very...frustrating. jammy316 Posted November 6, 2005 Share Posted November 6, 2005 Seems theres somehow a problem with a line of code when written to memory.. (Happens on LOTR:BFME alot to people, Buggiest game yet). Basically your I.E seems a bit screwed somewhere. Reinstall it(I.E) if not try a different broswer (Firefox or Opera) and to one of your other posts (Mozilla is the Firefox company ;) ).
