RayOxide
Smelting steel is the best way since F2P has a low GP/Hour collection rate, and this is one of the better ways. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Youmu
Superheating steel bars is what I did, although you will lose a tiny bit of profit. I saw you online ingame btw. :) BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention

Youmu
^Not sure but if you superheat I think mith bars are better xp(?)Mith ores are unbuyable, last time I checked. Besides, you can superheat more bars per inventory with steel (9) than mithril (5). RayOxide
You can finish an inventory faster with mith >.< I dont need a siggy no moar.
Youmu
You can finish an inventory faster with mith >.<Which is why steel bars are better. You bank more with mith, therefore cutting down on exp/hr. Speaking of which, iron bars are faster exp but you lose much more cash. Lets_3ekout
You can finish an inventory faster with mith >.<Which is why steel bars are better. You bank more with mith, therefore cutting down on exp/hr. Speaking of which, iron bars are faster exp but you lose much more cash.mith smelt xp = 30xpsteel smelt xp = 17.5xp Since we're talking about superheating, banking time is almost negligible. The little time you do spend banking by no means what so ever is going to counteract the almost halved exp of steel.Worth noting is that iron = 12.5xp, just a little less than steel. So if you're really dedicated to making steel (which you shouldn't be, go with mith), do some number crunching and find out if steel or iron loses more or less money, and base it on that. If buying mith ore is an issue, leave an offer in GE at max for ore and make steel/iron untill you get a decent amount of mith ore. Or you could go mine in the mining guild and smelt mith ore there while waiting. lex372
If you want to make some money as well, smelt steel bars. ;) Almost 250 gp profit each bar atm. But yes, only like 6 - 7k exp an hour.Smithing bars into armor/weapons will cost alot money, but getting good exp/hour. Smelting steel bars is one of the wways to make money in f2p. ;) With super heating bars you will break even or make a small profit, it's some better exp. Mith bars & up is worth super heating. Ilufyou
Thnx guys.I'm just doing a mix. as I'm not in a rush I'll try and get 70 slowly.I'm mining my own ores now and stuff. So I'll probably smith the mithril bars to. wich will give me some good xp and even a small amount of cash yay =). 65 67 65 68 60 91 59 6482 89 84 93 83 83 82 71CLICK ME.If U click this I won't eat your brain! blakdragon39
If you're mining mithril anyways, here's what I do sometimes. Take as many nats as you want, wield a fire staff, and don't forget your pick. :P Mine mithril and coal in the guild (I'm sure there are other spots this would work if you don't have guild access..) and then just superheat it there. Good mining exp, as you rarely have to bank. It's a bit slow, but after you've superheated the mith bars, make them into something like a mith kite or 2h (mith body when you can) and alch them. Makes profit. :D You'll probably have to do some calculations as prices may have changed though.
Bladewing
Buy iron bars and make platebodies. It's costly, but smelting is way too slow. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit

I get like 100-200 ores a day.and the day after I go to the guild and superheat my mithril ores =).so bassicly the same. 65 67 65 68 60 91 59 6482 89 84 93 83 83 82 71CLICK ME.If U click this I won't eat your brain! Jaffy1
What I did is stock up on mithril ore (either mine or buy), get lots of nature runes and mine coal in the mining guild (superheat while mining). You can smith the bars into mithril platebodies at 68, alc those. You'll get a higher level than 70 because you'd have to smelt til 70 (or sell bars but waste xp). I bought around 30-40k mith ore and nats and used the method, smithing all the bars into plates and alcing them, got fair profit and lots of experience in Mining, Smithing and Magic. It is a most enjoyable way of leveling in my opinion. Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs.
