November 22, 200916 yr So it has been 2 years since I have last played even casually. I thought I might as well join up and fool around a bit while I wait for some things to change in WoW. Within those 2 years though, this game has changed dynamically. So many mini games, and so many additions to skills (I re-named my Character to Ark-heart if you wanna see my skills now). I'm just wondering what is some fun stuff to do now. I tried to think of what I should do in game but I was drawing a big blank. I hear about this god dungeons thing which sounds pretty cool (Is is like that bug queen or with multi bosses?) Any feedback would be nice. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! November 22, 200916 yr I suggest that you should try a mix of everything to see what you like best. For example, ask a few friends to go boss hunting, but make sure you're confident enough so that you don't end up dying. (I suggest going to a mass first)
November 22, 200916 yr The god wars dungeon has four different sections with 4 different bosses. One for Armadyl, one for Bandos, one for Zamorak and one for Saradomin. Look in the knowledge base for more info. Same goes for new things, look through the news archives ;) "There are only two strategies in war. Move forward or change. The victor is the first to realise that when he cannot move forward he must change." ~ Mod Mark H ~
November 22, 200916 yr Don't come back  The economy is [bleep]ed, the pvp is lame, the skills are still pathetic, the grinding is still the core of the game, and the graphics are still not what you want it to be. That is, unless you're a masochist like the rest of us, then welcome home.
November 22, 200916 yr I tried "coming back" recently since I bought membership to play classic last weekend when I was bored and every time I sign in I end up standing around the G.E. not knowing what to do.. I mean I could work on skills but I don't really see a point to it. I really want to kill a KBD though, its always has been a goal of mine to kill the first "boss" monster since my rs1 days.
November 22, 200916 yr Author Ya I think the only real thing right now I can really do is just try to level up skills and what not. I don't care too much for economy nor pvp in this game (Unless in safe games). I guess I have been a bit spoiled with no problems when dieing, and with easy group play. I'll still do some stuff once in awhile for one month and see where it goes. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
November 22, 200916 yr I don't mean to be a rude, but why are you Lionheart (a global moderator) posting a topic like this in GG when it belongs to Help and Advice? Also welcome back. Try God Wars Dungeon bosses, they definitely will catch your attention.
November 22, 200916 yr God wars dungeon is pretty fun and good cash too, i've made about 2.5B there myself. You'd be better off going with a large group to start off to get used to it all. 24th to 2496 Overall ~ 29th to 120 Dungeoneering ~ Wilderness Guardian since November 2007 ~

Try God Wars Dungeon bosses, they definitely will catch your attention. Because this is a generalized thread with discussion value, which I do believe is something to be posted in "General Discussion". Although people can give me advice, it is totally possible for it to become a discussion more then just that. Most help and advice topics degenerate down to a mod saying "This has been answered, locked!" I have decided to look more into this god dungeon thing. The only problem I am having is coming to terms with the chance of dieing. I remember back when I played a lot that I rarely took chances cause I was afraid to loose my stuff. Of course Getting rune armor back is nothing (Which is what I only had when I stopped playing), but the idea of loosing some of that more valuable armor scares me. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Seems more like a "help me on what to do" thread with an after thought of post things that have changed. Of course I don't care too much, just pointing it out Also, Stealing Creation is probably the only mini game I have the patience for, it's great really.
November 22, 200916 yr Summoning is certainly worth getting into. Agreeing with the above poster, stealing creations is a fun minigame. :D Don't worry about the economy, unless your a merchant, I don't see why anyone should be worried about the economy. Boss killing isn't my sort of thing, but a lot of people enjoy it, and it has potentially great rewards. :D Do some quests, raise some skills. There are endless possibilities!
November 22, 200916 yr Never level anything except attack and strength to 99.You may get 99 defense along the way but defense is negligible past level 80 or 85. Anything you level into the 99's besides the above : -will be nerfed- there will be no rewards the higher level you are besides a useless level 99 cape - new ways of levelling will be made that will make the skill an easier 99 meaning that it will take half or quarter of the effort you took to get a 99, still lots of grinding but less than before Avoid the frustration of trying to be a ranger or a mage. Especially a mage. Most updates will cater to the melle class. Get used to it. Distractions and diversions are fun easy ways to level mining and woodcut. You may like stars or evil trees. Even the circus is good to do. Penguins are free exp towards hated skills.
