Darkvengence Posted November 25, 2009 Share Posted November 25, 2009 The search feature seems to have declared a boycott on me because it found absolutely nothing after a few searches about this in H&A. Anyways, starting Slayer again. Level 75 at the moment, short team goal of 83/85 and long term goal of 99.Currently I'm only using only one of my slots to block a task, and that's for Steel Dragons, and I won't take those off. Things to know.. I'm maxed melee, 99 Range, and 88 Summoning. I have Bandos, a GS, and most of the standard Slayer gear. I don't like using a cannon, I use Lapalok (Shilo Village), and I can block up to three more tasks. Which tasks should I block? The only thing I can think of at the moment would possibly be Hellhounds, they generally annoy me. Going to sleep now, hopefully have a reply or two when I check in the morning. They aren't hard and even i can kill them fairly quickly. Blocking Black Demons isn't a bad idea.. I'm Anti-Blocking and Anti-Cancel on ALL my Tasks and i can say that Demons and Bloodveld to me are the most boring.. But of course if you don't want to block Black Demons they can be a fairly good source for Range XP.. You're maxed mellee, so yuo could do irons fairly quick, or mage them to max mage.I hate hell hounds, but I don't get them often, so I just cancel them. Black demans and bloodvelds are cannonable so I like them. They also have high HP so a lot of sayer xp to be gained. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... JoeDaStudd Posted November 25, 2009 Share Posted November 25, 2009 If your after fast exp cannon is the way to go.Black demons, dagannoths, bloodvelds and spectors are a few ones which really benefit from it and most of the time you'll atleast break even (bloodvelds are a loss, but extremely fast exp). Whats your herblore level? If you have access to super antifire your options are more open if not you shuold block iron and steel so you only have 1 space left. Don't block anything you haven't tried a few times, and then block whatever you personally dislike. My decision to block waterfiends is often scolded because they are wonderful Crimson Charm droppers, but I -hate- them. At the end of the day, do what makes you happy! zotto Posted November 25, 2009 Share Posted November 25, 2009 Hell hounds become tolerable when using the cannon. Otherwise it is a bit of a grind. I can't say it really bothered me that they don't drop anything, because at one point in in the long way towards 99 slayer you stop worrying about drops all together. At least that was the case for me. Overall, there were always plenty of drops that kept me funded so who cares some tasks have bad drops? I didn't. I loved black demons, either semi-tanking them or cannoning them. Long tasks but nice amount of crims and good experience. i blocked myself: steel dragonskalphites (I got fed up with finding a free world).Wyverns Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Great_one Posted November 25, 2009 Share Posted November 25, 2009 If you are going for 99, definitely do NOT block black demons. They are great exp, have okay drops, and have great crimson drop rate.
