03-Dec-2009 - BounceDown For iPhone

Featured Replies

At Jagex we pride ourselves on supporting our developers and encouraging them when they come up with new ideas which we think our players will enjoy. At a recent Company Jolly, Mod_Scottles asked me if he could develop the FunOrb game BounceDown for the iPhone as an experimental project. I naturally agreed and gave Mod_Scottles a few days off to work on the project. I’m happy to say the game is now finished and was released today.

We have made the game completely free to say thank you to the fantastic Jagex community. So, if you have an iPhone™ or iPod® Touch and iTunes installed, please click here to download Bouncedown.

Have Fun!

Wish I had an iPhone or iPod Touch. Bouncedown's my favourite Funorb game and it would be awesome to take around with me anywhere. I wonder if this means they will work on making their other games into applications; Bric-A-Brac would be another good game to make for the iPhone.

Awesome! I'll be sure to tell my friend with an iphone to download it so I can play :)

Is this the first time a Jagex made game has been available in another format?

This is a great leap forward, and i'm glad to see it is for free, now if only i had an iphone.

There IS an app for everything now :)

Now only if they expanded to Steam we would be getting somewhere.

I played Bounce down for the first time today. It is strangely addictive, but would be great if it had online multi player.

It was a truly missed oppertunity not to have a secondary game when the device is flipped to its side. You could have had the size of the normal game shrunken down, and kept in the same dimensions, to fit into there with blank space on the left and right for Touch movement.

Although as it stands it is a great port, it even made me bother to make an account for the store. Although, its definately not as hard as the original.

According to Jagex the lag would make it unplayable due to the games need for quick reactions

The game was not surprisingly very lack luster and boring. Ofc when you have Bullet Bounce, Fruit Ninja, Skeeball and all the Roller Coasters everything else IS lame.

I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Comped 4/30/15
