Sunwarriord
Detroit 8) Darko will hit the game winning shot with 1.2 seconds left in game seven to win the finals.

It's hard to do that when your on the bench the whole time... As much as I dislike the heat; they're going to win. Payton>* The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard. Augsback
I believe Miami will win it this year. All the moves they did in the off-season is an huge improvement to what they had last year.

It's hard to do that when your on the bench the whole time... He's actually getting played somewhat now. But jeze, imagine that scenario, lol. I'm gonna pick Heat for the win. Then the Spurs or Detroit if the Heat gets knocked out. Personally I want Detroit to win, but I don't think they're able to beat Miami.
Arcticrunite
Hawks as a dark horse team, theyre young, talented, joe johnson can play too, they just need an inside game and they can dominate al harrington has an expiring contract which makes him trade bait, and im sure we can pick up a C/PF (Some mentions of Nene from Denver, i personally wouldnt mind someone such as Sammy Dalembert if he falls out of Cheek's favor) imagine a rotation next year of PG : Salim Stoudamire SG : Joey Johnson SF: Josh Smith PF: Marvin Williams C: Nene/Dalembert, possibly even Theo Ratliff again (hes up they say) also R.I.P. Jason Collier, untimed death from cardiac arrest, he was one of the nba's greatest guys (off the court, on the court, ehhhh he had work :P ) and the hawks organization will miss him

timmay929
I think the Heat are going to take it this year. Shaq and Dwayne got some more support behind them. But id rather see the New Jersey Nets win. 122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting

Arcticrunite
Just remember heat fans, theres only 1 ball in South Beach, the heats team chemstry is horrible, they dont have any role players just scorers, aside from udonis haslem (boards/blocks) they have no inside presence, shaqs old and declining and his health is ALWAYS questionable btw weezy, tonight hawks @ warriors, ill be watching the domination of the new hawks regime :P
niner
Arc, you better be ready to eat crow :D (*hopes he aint wrong*). I honestly think that if the Warriors can make about the 6th or 3rd seed and can avoid San Antionio till the Conference Finals that they would have a decent shot at the title . Its been over 30 years but hey anything is possible right? As long as they stay healthy and gell as a team (and improve on the team D) they have one of the best rosters in the league. They may not be in the Championship Tier 1 with the San Antionio's and Miami's but their right near the top of Tier 2. And i agree with you on Miami. If the Lakers couldnt do it when they had 4 Hall of Famers in the starting line up and one of the best Coaches of all time, how can Miami do it? On paper Miami may have a deeper roster but a lot of their players are injury prone (Morning, Shaq :() and they got quite a few show off ball hogs (JWilliams, Walker). Keiphus
Seriously... how can you doubt the Spurs? Tim Duncan is the best player in the league. Van Exel? Finley? Parker? Ginobili? mohammed? The Spurs are stacked 12 deep. I'm a San Antonio native... and I was downtown last year when the Spurs won the championship... holy [cabbage]. There were riots in the street (good ones) and I was stuck outside on a street in my car for over an hour. People were running in the streets reaching in my window like I knew them for years.. it was a great experience. kind of nasty when the bald guy with beer all over him rubbed up on me though. Haha.
