Sinkhan
I'm looking to use quest rewards and diary lamps on the following three skills. Which one. I'm not sure: Prayer: It's very costly, but it has such a huge return for combat. I'm currently level 66 and need 70 for the Seers and Falador Diaries, which I REALLY want. I still have a few quests that give prayer specific rewards, but my actual goal is 75, not just 70, since at that point I'll be able to use the reward from Blood Runs Deep on prayer, which I feel is the best choice. Runecrafting: Speaks for itself. It's obviously one of the most difficult to train. It's at 62 ATM. Summoning: I'm looking at level 68 for the bunyip, 74 for rock lobsters, and then...well, I don't really care too too much after that. Summoning can be almost as difficult as runecrafting to raise and almost as expensive as some other skills like herblore (Or so I'm told) So what should I direct my XP towards. When I get to doing WGS, the consideration list expands to include herblore and construction. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
Robert_R
Use it on prayer or summoning, don't use "free" xp on skills like runecrafting. Example: using the 400k xp from while guthix sleeps all on prayer saves about 7.6m, if you used that on something like runecrafting all you're doing is saving some time training it while not gaining any money or savings from the xp(technically losing money).Sorry to say this but you have to have 75+ in the skill to use the xp from blood runs deep on it. Grimy_Bunyip
first of all, herblore > prayer it's slower to train AND more expensivethey're both equally useful at higher levels in my opinion summoning is also a great option because higher lvl summons = more xp/charm I would stray away from runecrafting because it just isnt that useful anymore. The income isnt comparable to other combat related money makers these days.Extreme potions, high lvl prayer and summoning all help alot more if you want to make over 1 mil gp/hour unless you have aspirations of 99 runecrafting (which i dont) i would recommend putting it into something else EVEN THOUGH it may be "efficient" to put it into runecraftingWhether you do herblore or summoning then falls on your income. Summoning if you're richer, herblore if you're poorer, but i won't bother to calculate the actual break income right now.
Sinkhan
Hmm. I guess that eliminates runecrafting from the mix. I'm still torn between prayer, summoning, and now herblore. Prayer is going to be rather constant in price and in keeping with dragon bone prices. I'm not sure how to train summoning effectively (I've got 95% of the xp from ToG and penguins >.>), but I'm pretty sure it's also very pricey. I do have around 2000 herbs saved up from farming to help out with herblore, but after a few calculations, it's going to be a longshot from the really useful potions. I guess I need to really step up my herb farming runs. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
Bouwzie
Raising herblore with xp rewards is useless at your level. Unless you are like 85 herblore and want 90 herblore, it is useful. Use it on prayer, it's the most expensive and useful at your level. Although you didn't really tell us enough...
Kersei
Most expensive skill - herbloreSlowest skill - slayer Summoning is also a good option so that you don't waste charms on lower level pouches.
D Jay99
Summoning is both slow and kinda expensive. Slayer is just slow. Herblore is just expensive. Take your pick, if I were you I'd use them on summoning, and personally I use most lamps and stuff on slayer.

Slayer_Jesse
given the fact that you can train summoning along with slayer, id say go with herblore or prayer, seeing how absurdly expensive these are atm. I'm 56 herblore ATM. I shamelessly point you in the direction of Tip.It's Quest Experience Guide  I've already consulted that guide religiously and done most of the quests that suit my needs. In the end, it's still a pretty long ways off. Slayer may be slow, but at least it doesn't cost a huge boatload of money. And money isn't something I have an abundance of. But don't go all opportunity cost on me, because generally I'm not a very efficient money earner either  Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
1230abcz
Get 75 RC and use it on there. I cannot stress how much I hate myself for not doing that. RC is horribly slow, and unless you like training it (*gasp*), I highly recommend you use the EXP reward on it. If not, go with herblore like the others have said. Since most methods are 30gp/exp or higher, the 450k exp will save you 13M.
