You could just use it to summon wraiths and specters and stuff, which you could use during combat, while you've been completely rested. Maybe it's designed to be used during combat, but it's more advantageous not to use it in combat. Bingo, I can abduct people with wraiths and specters! Master of your domain? Grim, nobody is yet powerful enough to take on Caster. And Retech, that leads to two paths- A war, which would likely screw over several oppurtunities, or two large cities hating you instead. Also Caster cannons are no match to us no more, we've got grenades and revolvers. Say one of us takes the role of smith, one takes the role of assembler, one or more makes bullets, one makes scopes and I design better guns.
