Needs fresh bones. Also, it's a bit more random than that, but yeah, that's the basic gist of it.

It also drains energy from the user, mind. And I don't see what void magic would do to assist that.

Anyways, NWN time.

Could you...abduct people and use energy from them? Or maybe use energy from a gem?

The void magick was to make it stick together, since it was going to be a mainly magical being.

@Earth

Golem probs drops at max 2 items. Things don't drop loads of things cause they were hard to kill.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

dude. the golem would have been guarding some kind of treasure. use your head. though we have to see if there are any other guardians..

Golems aren't always used for guarding treasure, it seems its guarding something else.

Nope. Void magic wouldn't do that. If you summon a wraith, you summon a wraith, it doesn't need to stick together.

It needs to be the casters own energy, but the bones don't matter, as long as they're fresh.

What I want for magic: Geomancy(minor) Lightning-Metalomancy(if it exists)-force(primary).

As for non-magic skills: Melee(any)-mining(minor) engineering-marksman(major).

Although I wouldn't mind having those minors as advanced as well.

Ah sorry was just kind of bored and wanted to bounce a few ideas off the wall. Though with proper equipment that angry diety would become an enslaved angry diety (well at least a good chance of that happening)

EDIT: Also I had pretty much always intended that it would be a last ditch technique (an angry fire diety would pretty much screw up everyones day who was around me as well)

The diety would just kill the one who summoned it and then return to it's plane. Also, good luck controlling a diety.

Metalmancy needs a new name. Metalmancy sounds crap.

Not Metalmancy, Allomancy. Huzzah for Brandon Sanderson! (if you're that curious, look "Mistborn" up on Wikipedia)

@Jen - No abduction needed. Look at the Angmar Sorcerer from Rise of the Witch-King (LOTR game), all you need are a group of acolytes...

You could use Void Magic to clone Poseidon, perhaps...

When you mean caster's own energy, that means like if I get a high roll, I succeed and feel tired for a bit, but if I get a low roll, then I faint or something? I don't want to faint all the time when I'm using bone magic. <_<

Also, is there a way to drain energy from other people? Maybe some sort of machine with wires and doodads everywhere?

---

Nex, would you like to be an acolyte? My original plan was to summon moss crabs which hide under heavily traversed trading routes and pop up to abduct people. Another idea was to farm people, but that seems relatively difficult.

*ahem*

I would like to learn the magic, but acolytes always get sacrificed for some reason or another...

And apprentices have to kill their masters...

Slaves, well, they're mistreated and never get rewarded...

Servants aren't much better, but they get paid...

Benefactors always start wars...

Allies don't stay allies...

Let's just be friends, how 'bout that?

Why are acolytes sacrificed anyways? I would think that if the acolyte was good and brought back lots of corpses, then you'd think that they wouldn't be sacrificed.

The offer still stands, but I suggest that you be very careful when traversing around the forests, or you may accidentaly be abducted. Not killed, but maybe the crabs might munch on you for a bit before they brought back your bones. Maybe I could figure out a way for them not to kill certain people?

Probaly the only other way you'd learn the magick though is if you went to the kinky sex witches near Potsdell, but then they'd abduct you as their sex slave...

Retech, at higher levels, there may be methods to use energy from other people.

Basically, how it works is that you are temporarily weakened a bit whenever you use a spell. How much weaker you become is dependant on the roll, but it is never so much that you would be useless after rolling two ones.

Allomancy sounds good.

Two ones yet not useless? Good thing for Retech, the dice hate him.

You should read Mistborn Ross, the story is pwnage and the magic is believable and original, not to mention epic.

I didn't want to suddenly drop dead after rolling a one. :P

Any bones. But the race affects the properties.

Pbviously the two ones would have some adverse effects, and you'd still become unconcious, but you wouldn't suffer that much of a drain upon awakening again.

I mean, a one generally means you either fall unconcious or take a lot of damage anyway.

Are human bones like the standard bones that is generally good for things? I would imagine that there would be a decent bone that you could pretty much use for everything without advantages or disadvantages.

Give Bees a chance!

Giant, mutated Bees. Hehe.

Also, you could infuse someone's, lets say Poseidon's, bones with healing magic or Einherjarium. Poof, instant human bone farm.

Just hope he doesn't turn into Lazarus.

How do you combine the word metalurgi with magic? Metalomancy?

You don't. the decision is Allomancy.

Say Mather, are you interested in abducting people, looting their corpses, and giving their bones to me? I'll make it worth your while by allowing you to watch me do bone magic for each set of bones you give, so that maybe over time you could figure out how to do it yourself.
