Earth-

You find a book, but it is in an indecipherable language. Though you do still think you can make out some of the meanings of the diagrams and symbols shown.

 

Nexaduro-

You look into the castle and see many, many statues. You remember an extract from the book:

"Gargoyles hate to be disturbed, and will try to disguise themselves as inanimate statues. If they are disturbed while disguised, they become incredibly aggressive."

 

Grim-

You successfully teleport out of the leviathans mouth and into the surrounding water. It would appear that the creature is interfering with your ability to escape. You fire a lightning bolt at the leviathan, followed by shards of superheated ice, causing it to turn around and swim to the depths, smashing you with it's tail as it goes.

 

Kemios-

You don't think punching will break magical barriers.

 

Hakon-

You revert it to it's previous state and the golem starts sinking slowly again.

 

Hex-

The men approve of your success. They tell you that the spirit can do some tasks and attack for ou if you ask it, but if you exert it too much, it may turn on you.

Nah my whole situation. Ex. smaller creature that is a relatively easy kill (because I got lucky) then after awhile I meet the larger creature who happens to be the mother of the smaller creature. The smaller creature is a parallel to Grendel and the larger creature is a parallel to Grendel's Dame.

EDIT:Grim heals himself and swims to the surface collecting balls of hot ice around him. He charges a lightning attack as well (no xp for the lightning bolt at level 0 I take it?)

Good thing I didn't remain a gargoyle back when I accidentally turned into one, or else Nex would be hunting me.

 

Kemios tries to figure out a way to break the seal.

I turn the orbs into shards of metal, and pepper all of the statues with them until one moves. I start with the smallest and move up. When one moves, I use the spare steel in my bag to encase it in metal or smash it with my resonance-enhanced quarterstaff

i wonder if i found any symbols against the undead, or against demons. i ask the librarians if they could deschipher the rest of it.

About 11 of the statues begin shrieking and flying towards you.

 

Earth-

You think you may have found some. You ask the librarian, but he can't read much of it either.

 

He lists some of the ritual reagents under the symbols you found which relate to banishing demons and the undead, and he says that is all he can read.

 

"A bar of Baelinum, Feather of a shadowing, Blood soaked skull, and gargoyle wing."
