I attempt to use the metal inside the troll to force apart it's skin and muscle, creating an open wound, then drawing the metal back inside the skin in tendrils to do more organ and tissue damage.

i look for a way out, and if i dont find one, i try to climb back up the cliff.

Bah I will go back with you sooner or later. Grim looks instead for a master of divination (finding out what the heck these things are) and if he is not lined out he goes to him and asks him if he can tell him what the rope, the boots, the staff and the leviathan scales do.

I remove enough of the barrier in the door for Earth to take shots through, also forming a thick half sphere of stone coming out of the wall and encompassing Earth. I continue making large spikes, preferably at the troll's head level.

You can't find any way out, and the cliff is far too steep for anyone to climb. You hear growls from the troll's cave.

The Master of Magical Artifacts has his name crossed out on the book. You realize that you might find the information in a book.

You manage to remove part of the barrier, but you fail to make the sphere, or any more spikes. Listening carefully, you hear small growls coming from the other side of the chasm.

oh... [bleep].. i try to squeeze through the barrier, and if that fails, i start shooting for the female cave trolls eyes with magic arrows.

Grim looks for information upon the various artifacts.

I remove the current spikes, hopefully allowing the troll's current wounds to begin bleeding. I then try to form a large spear of stone on the roof or one of the walls, and propel it as hard as possible at the base of the troll's neck.

You get stuck in the hole, and you hear barking. It doesn't seem to be from a single creature...

You can only find information on the leviathan scales.

The troll's skin patches up very quickly, staunching the blooflow. You form a large spear of stone, which propels fast into the troll's neck. It lurches around for a bit, before falling down and smashing its head against the wall.

nex.. get me thru the hole, i think the trolls have a brood... i try to get thru the barrier again, and if i get thru, then i take shots at whatever was behind me, aiming for the eyes with my magic arrows.

I encase the head in stone, and form spikes on the inside of the encasing, jabbing through the areas with the least resistance (ears, eyes, under the jaw, and at the base of the skull).

Also, I open the barrier enough for Earth to get through.

Hmm Grim goes and looks again for a lore master or a master of divination. He then looks for any type of mention of the staff or the wood that makes it up after attempting to divine any powers it may have.

Hey Grim, you ever watched the series Avatar (Not the movie, dangit! The show had the name first!)? It gives me a lot of ideas for magic techniques in this game. The show is based around the ability to manipulate or "bend" fire, air, water, and earth.

You squeeze through the hole just in time, as the troll's hunting pack begin clawing on the barrier. They seem to be a mix of a hyena and a cheetah, probaly one of the foul denizens of the underground caves. The creatures seem to have sharp spikes on their back.

But aren't my allomancy levels higher?
