So if I simply learn light magic... I can learn three magicks at once! Huzzah! The thing about not summoning anything isn't bothering me too much anymore. If I get a life orb, I'll probaly just put its energy into my staff.

 

Oh Ross, can you infuse a power stone into a staff using your power stone without failure? If you can, I would imagine that you could do basic force magicks without failure (like giving someone a wedgie?)

Oh wait, I see what you mean, but power stones can't be used for combat magic, and I don't think they can be used for magic at all.

Okay, so basically infusing the power stone using its own energy into a staff, allowing basic manipulations of force magic without fail. Of course like half the energy of the power stone would be used to infuse it, and the rest of it just works as the force magic power source.

Well it seems fair that light can pwn the [cabbage] outta shadow, but not always win against dark due to it being opposite.. its like fire and ice... they both depend on the conditions and skill

So essentially your view is that darkness is the opposite of light.

Well apparantly water is the opposite of ice, which sorta confuses me. So basically I have covered my weaknesses to fire.

Not really no if you go just by players alot of us have at least one type of magic that is completely different from out main one (for me geomancy) and a few of us also have some skill in non magical combat arts.

Well I'm sure that when he has time, he'll sort it out and standardize it. :)

We're going by the typical fire > water > ice, and then I'm shoving the other elements in there somewhere.

I think things with balance, like dark and light (needing eachother) should be able to defeat eachotther
