I do have a question, though, why are there 35 votes on who should've been the next D'neering mod? :blink:

It was. Anywhooo... What say you to adding class specifics instead of starting off from scratch? (but keep the scratch stoof there.) So, like ading the white mage.. Better skill in it's atribute, but tainted a bit by prejudice and distrust of the darker aspects of the craft? And the ability to control armies rather quickly, but you have to do a LOT of crap to get it right.

Nah, we keep saying we need to perfect this, but all we need is a good, creative mind for the moderator and to continue with the formula that made D'neering what it is.

Magical building? So geomancy/ice magic/nature magic/allomancy?

Like being able to make a building (Geomancy aspect, or whatever.) And enchanting it to produce units. you'd need regents, and the onmly way to train it is to do it.

No, like.. you know in an RTS, how you build stoof that produces units? I was thinking of somethn along those lines that SLOWLY produce units based off of the reagents and special item you offered.

You could enchant a house to be haunted and slowly produce ghosts.

Exactly. Thats what i'm talking about, bt you can use regeants to power it up, and to add a little spice to the units.

I don't need an army...I buff/heal the party while occasionally going offensive. I'm not a General of some sort. I'm a Dark Elf on a quest. lol

I never got to fully live up to my role as "The Steel Paladin" and I would like to fill some gaps in the all-encompassing lore I have formed around the games I've played (it's quite interesting at this point).

 

I'd like to play this, but we badly need a new mod. Preferrably someone without prior Dungeoneering experience but a good understanding of its spirit.

 

I vote yes to the game, but I can't imagine a Taverner who could really make it work. I'd take Ross, or Archi, but otherwise...

My view on this game is, it's pretty much dead, and only left here as a reminder of how good a game can get.

Hmm.... I never did manage to master transmog... I bote that it gets restarted, but we'd need a mod who hasn't played Dungeoneering before. Because a mod who has would know exactly what everybody tries to do, and probably be DF-sadistic enough to turn it against them.

I know, which is why I didn't think a Taverner could fill the role. They had their time, and unless they choose to come back we won't ask them.

 

And it is dead, in a way, which is why we need a new mod for the new game. Traditional style, Taverner responses. Like it was in the beginning.

No. I won't actually, because this is fun, i'll set it up on days where i can actually do it, and i'll keep notes. Notes man, NOTES. For me, that is paramount to BLASPHEMEY!

I would recommend IRC, but do it on a turn-based system, rather than Psudeo-Real-Time(like on Space). That way you will have time to keep notes properly.

 

Elsewise, the only thing to remember about Dungeoneering is that you need to be imaginative...preferably drawing on multiple stories and tales, binding them together and guiding the players through them.

And number one rule...DON'T RAILROAD!

IRC turnbased?... Oh hell yes, this will work. And no railroading.. jsut let it do it's own thing, right? (Can i railroad a leetle tiny bit when i absolutley need them to do a story line?)
