So you do the math ^^,

Cptbaker08
Well from 80-99 its about 10m exp. If sharks are 20k exp/hr then thats going to be about 548 hours of fish. if u play 5 hours a day thats about 110 days, close to 4 months. If you do monks and they are 27k-30k exp/hr, I'll use 28.5k exp/hr as a medium exp. Thats going to take about 385 hours, or 76 days if playing for 5 hours a day. so about 2.5-3 months if doing monks. Now these figures are if those exp/hr are correct, also note though that at higher levels you will get fish faster. Also using a familiar will help get some exp as well. Loffelicious
I don't know about xp rates and such, but just a tip if you decide to go for it: ALWAYS have your ibis out, or granite lobster if you decide to raise your summoning. The boost does really help(I've checked with ibis), besides it pays for itself(actually it earns small amounts of money) and gives small amounts of xp for the fish it catches. I wish you good luck! Skeletal wyvern guide: 100-150 crimsons per hour and PROFIT
010jonathan
I had monkfish at 35k xp per hour at lvl ~90. Tbh, do barbarian fishing (55k xp per hour with mousekeys) and then rocktails, that's much better choice.

He wants something to do while he does other stuff, so barbarian fishing is not really an option. I went with monkfish from 85-99 and it took two months. Ezkaton
Thanks for the replies everyone, from the general consensus it seems that if I do this fishing it'll take this term roughly...... maybe a little longer, to get me to 99 which is great. However one or 2 of you said about rocktails etc...... looking at the exp stuff in the guide; would it be wise to move onto Cavefish when I'm 85? mhch720
81-92 will take 1-2 months, 90-99 is like 1 month (at rocktails).

I wish you good luck! :thumbsup:Yeah, you average about 20k gp profit from a granite lobster pouch, or roundabouts. Rocktails are a good choice. From what I've heard, you shouldn't have much trouble getting ~40k xp/hr there, which is pretty nice considering that's also what, 250k gp/hr? Not too shabby. So probably better than monkfish. I haven't heard much about cavefish, but supposedly they're around the same as monkfish or slightly better.
