March 22, 201016 yr Author Ahh, kk. Well I don't really mind, as long as I help even the tinniest bit, I am happy. I am 100% sure that there are better guides than this, this just how I did it. You are awesome for putting "~Shadow" in your signature and not at the bottom of your posts ~Shadow

January 13, 201115 yr Going to finish this quest sometime. Thanks for writing it. It's making me quite a bit more confident. :)
January 13, 201115 yr I used the kyatt method, (after about 10 brute force attempts) Kyatt owns him hard, imo essential if you want AOW status. Also, i lost alot of money using barrows armour because when you die you have to repair it... Looks good so far though Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!
January 13, 201115 yr [hide=high-end melee] Of course the rapier can be whip.[/hide] [hide=low-end melee] Cheap and simple.[/hide] [hide=ranged] I don't have acp or ranger's boots but they would be better of course, the chaotic crossbow is better than the rune one, and if you want to go all-out, the pernix top is best.[/hide] Those are the setups I'd put in your guide. Also add kyatt/geyser/iron/steel and perhaps unicorn and list their benefits. Good work so far though. January 13, 201115 yr I'd also mention that you might want to consider using curses. Having Leech Mage, Leech Defence and Leech Ranged on Quick makes the first part of the fight far easier. Probably an easier way of draining defence than BGS. Also note how you can hide behind the pillar during the entire illusion to drop vials, decant brews, rest, take BOB items, and dismiss BOB or summon Kyatt if required. Also, how Absorb Magic does absorb the MAX-1 attack so you won't necessarily die if you don't pot or eat to max with dragonhide. Personally, I don't have the best stats but I managed to get him to Berserker mode without even taking all the items from my Tortoise (leaving me about 22 brews for the last 25%). Could always use a few more Rocktails because it's hard to dismiss BOB when he's in Berserker mode - try to summon Kyatt before then during one of the illusions so you can actually use it. I'm sure the end would have been much easier for me had I been able to use Kyatt, especially if you're tanking his hits because you won't be able to hit as much when you're healing all the time. I never tried it, but I hear sidestepping Nomad during Berserker mode is effective. However, the main thing you would want to avoid is him calling you a 'Coward'. That's the main reason I failed on my first tries. But yeah, nice and simple.

January 14, 201115 yr Yep I forgot void gloves, gah. Give me a sec. Fixed. January 18, 201115 yr Basically what Allistair and Q said. Using the pillar to hide not only from the 750 attack but also the images was what made the difference for me. The image attack gives you so much time to drop vials/deal with summoning stuff if you safe spot it that it's almost impossible for your nerves to be an issue, makes it much more relaxed. The kyatt is amazing as well and not having it in the guide is just silly as the % of people who have a kyatt is soooo much higher than the % owning a steel titan. Also good to note since prayer really isnt an issue (you restore prayer often from using the super restores to counteract the brews) you can alternate 1 regular restore 4 brews, 1 super restore 3 brews to fill inv space and add some extra healing. Lastly unless I'm mistaken sara brews would undo the effects of your brews so while ovlds might be worth is (they re boots your stats every 15 seconds or so) using extremes seems a waste to me.
