I think people fail to realize that Japan and South Korea have been friendly for at least a few decades, and their main dispute is over a piece of land...which is now part of both of the countries, because they're just one country. <_<

 

Their cultures are very similar, especially after the cultural exchange of the 1980s. Japanese songs and books are extremely popular in Korea, and vice versa. The only animosity they had dates back to before modern times.

I vote for retech. If he annexed it fairly then it shouldn't instantly rebel unless it was some country that hated Japan.
