North Korea nukes south Korea and Japan, and South Korea nukes north Korea. Germany nukes Italy, Turkey, the Fed, and Poland. Russia nukes the PRC and Scandinavia. The TFed nukes Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, and then accidentally itself. Brazil nukes Easter Island, the TFed, and Mexico. Israel nukes Egypt, Oman and Yemen. Australia responds by sending in a screaming man riding a kangaroo with a hand grenade. Strangely enough Africa was unharmed in the whole ordeal.

Turkey Strikes Again

 

Reports are coming in of another Turkish attack on Japan, however this one has been targetted on purely military targets, primarily focused inside Indonesia, as opposed to the Japanese homeland.

 

Over 300 further ICBMs have rained down, destroying some 196 ships, scattered across 18 battle groups. The death toll has reached 100,000, along with some 2300 aircraft in the sea attack alone, at which only 40 of the 325 were targeted.

The other 285 were targetted at Japanese military bases spread along the Indonesian Rim. Italian forces, acting under their own initative, though it has been suggested that Turkish confirmation was given, have continued to advance Eastwards after the fleet blocking the crossing point was destroyed. The army, still weak from the their prior exertions, has advanced as far south as Malang before encountering belegered Japanese troops. S-Net interviews see the horribly burned corpses, which are stil alive, telling Japan to 'Surrender, there is nothing left for us...Someone save the children.' Sufficing to say that Japan has been left deeply troubled by this.

 

Otherwise Japan has suffered some 53 Stratos Jet destructions, some 12,000 normal aircraft destroyed, 90,000 solider deaths and almost 200,000 more injured.

 

The Indonesian press office has released statements condeming the attack, but also stating that Japan cannot afford to look after that many injured individuals and is asking Australia, China and Italian control Indonesia for immediate aid, before more people die.

 

When questioned as to why the missile defence system proved ineffective again, the Japanese Embassy in the Federation(America) stated that Civilian's must be protected first, hence why the system had not been rearmed close to naval bases and military installations.

 

South Korea was also heavily attacked, losing much of its defensive infrastructure, which quickly lead to North Korea seizing the upperhand in the conflict and capturing the South. America has yet to repsond.

 

The Japanese home islands were relatively unscathed after an 'Australian' spy was caught in Yemen, who passed her to Turkey, who discovered that the 'Australian' was really Japanese! She did reveal, though, that civilians had taken refuge in military bases for the duration.

I already did the basic research, which took 6 years.

I don't have time to respond to attacks 24 hours a day, especially during a busy week. If the game moved slower, then I think I could've participated, but it's become too fast-paced for me. I'll still be around, on the Dungeoneering thread.

I don't think that the events were idiotic. Infact, they were quite fun! It's just that it happens to coincide with the busiest week in the whole year for me, and I can't keep up. Twas a very fun experience.

Or at least just hurt him economically and make his people resent him. It doesn't mean that Turkey will cease to exist.

There will be events over the next 1-2 weeks. As a mod, I will go ahead and state that no nation will be able to intervene in this conflict. When it starts, I'll post what nations can do in order to "intervene" (if they so wish), but there will not be senseless crap like we've just had.

I'm afraid I have to strongly disagree - what just happened wasn't senseless at all. It was perfectly realistic.

 

The USA launches 5000 ICBMs against Russia in real life because it doesn't like them.

 

The USA just launched 600 ICBMs against Iraq so it could "win the war" faster.

Russia breaks Ceasefire with China, in Mongolia.

 

Frightful scenes earlier today as huge tanks and arimes began marching from Northern Mongolia to the heartland.

 

Early on it seemed that the Chinese would have a field day when the Russians attacked the city of Altay with a force some half the size of the defending force. Even the terrifying Rail Gun tank was not enough, and what is worse is that one of the tanks was captured!

 

Much the same story at Olgiy, though, for one reason or another, China parachuted its troops in.

 

However the Russian attack on Moron has steamrolled the Chinese, kicking them out of the city entirely, then going on to captured Tsetserleg and Bayangongor, before finally being stopped outside of Arvayheer.

 

A second massive assault engaged the cities of Bulgan and Erdenet, capturing the first, and encircling the second. However part of the encircling force then had to depart for Ulaanbaatar, where it met up another arm of the Russian army, and the two sides attack strongly, breaking the will of the Chinese defenders and capturing the capital city.

 

Subsequently the Russians attacked the city of Choybals, but, like their other attacks, failed to gain any advantage due to undermanning.

 

Casualties are thus:

19,000 Chinese

4,000 Civilians killed by Russian attacks.

It is unclear how far this sentiment has spread in the Dutch Federation, but has proved that Freedom of Speech is dangerous, and must be guarded from improper use.
