The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Fine the cost of the war can be taken from my infrastructure budget which is 2.5B

I'm spending 2.5B a year on buying companies too, its not EXPENSIVE to buy rather small companies, in fact some can be done for a couple of million. So I should get a few companies in my first few years :).

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

lol and ananotech is still taking 4 more years, maybe another year or 2 if it gets out of hand. mexico does not agree to anything other than to send aid to portugal, in unarmed troops and excess food and water.

Turkey and Italy Retaliates Against Japan after Plans Leaked to Attack Australia. Australia says 'No danger of being caught off guard by that lumbering War Machine'

This massive conflict was started earlier this year when Turkey launched some 350 ICBMs.

325 of this missiles were targeted at Japanese Cities on the Home Islands. However Japan's extensive anti-missile technology managed to intercept some 254 of them, leaving only 71 to get though.

The cities of Miyazaki, Osaka, Tokyo, Fukushima and Sendai have been almost entirely obliterated, with moderate damage being present in Kagoshima, Nagasaki and Kochi. Solitary missiles managed to land in Hiroshima, Nagano, Mito and Akita.

The Japanese Navy halted its advance instantly and began to prepare for an assualt, having been told not to advance until confirmation had been recieved.

The other 25 ICBMs impacted into Madagascar. Devestating the cities of Antisiranana, Mahajanga, Mananara, Maintirano, Saka, Fianarantsoa and Toliara. Ironically this has had a minor stablising effect with the destruction of one of the warring factions and some negotiation between the two remaining sides, both agreeing that dividing Madagascar into two halves, along with three Japanese naval ports, with a troop limit of 30,000, would be the best and safest course of action and have told the Japanese as such. If Japan does not accept these terms, and stick to these terms then the two sides will unite in defence of the country.

Meanwhile the Italian Navy has landed forces at Tangse, Bangko, Moro, Bedok and Bakam. Some 150,000 troops overwhelmed the similar sized garrison force in Malaysia and the Western most Island in the Indonesian Chain.

Malaysian troops were forced across the Northern Border into Thailand, where they have taken temporary respite, although the Thai Authorities have warned that they must be removed immediately.

On the Western most Isle there was particularly intense fighting, with isolated hotspots rising up, both for and against the Japanese Overlords. In the end though a combination of luck and incomplete defensive fortifications lead the Italian army to victory. The key turing point has been seen as the battle of Jangkat, where 20,000 Japanese Surrendered after a Japanese aircraft crash landed and destroyed a supply dump. Added to this the use of Italian tanks played a vital role in forcing out defenders.

However Italian forces are having a hard time controlling the Indonesias, who, far from being happy to have been liberated, are now attacking the Italians. Already there have been two major uprisings, partly faciliated by Japanese POWs escaping.

Thusly 43,000 Italians have died, with another 59,000 wounded, and 3,000 captured and taken south to Jakarta.

Comparatively 39,000 Japanese have died, with 48,000 wounded, but 43,000 were captured.

Italian reinforcements, numbering 25,000, 10,000 of which were medical, have spent the majority of their efforts keeping people alive, with law and order being largely left in the civilian domain.

While plans indicate that Italy had planned to move much further into the Indonesian Archipeligo, this intial assault would have left them undersupplyed for the next spate of Island Hopping.

Japanese ships stationed at Sadang have moved to prevent an Island crossing Via Bandar Lampung.

Australia has launched a number of limited counter offensives, however has only met with the capture of Lewa, and now face the prospect of a protracted siege as forces in the rest of the small island attempt to retake the city. However this was better than had been fared at Kupang, where Australian forces were repulsed entirely.

Australia also moved to engage one of the Japanese battle groups stationed off the coast of Pulau Kisar.

The two sides shelled each other of some hours, but eventually Japanese naval superiority won the day with the destruction of 5 frigates, 6 destroyers and 1 sub. However Japan lost 2 frigates and the aircraft carrier, along with 100 planes, due to submarine attacks.

With the intial engagements fought, and the destruction of numerous Japanese Cities one wonders if Japan will not retaliate with some kind of bombing run, or possibly missile attack of its own...or if the destruction of these key centers of industry have paralysed Japan to much. Indications have shown a 30% drop in GDP already, and this may only be the tip of the iceburg. Not forgetting Madagascar and Japan's earlier defeats in Yemen and Oman, it is becoming painfully apparent that Japan has over-extended itself, leaving itself open to this devestating attack by the combined forces of Australia, Turkey and Italy...an unlikely combination if ever there was one.

In other news five Australian tankers have been sunk by Turkish mines left over from the defence of the mainland, leading to supply shortages in Lewa.

Turkey is facing the wrath of the UN after deliberately killing over three million civilians in thermobaric attacks.

Italy faces a rebellious crisis in Mayalsia and Indonesia.

The scores again:

Italy: 105,000 units out of the war.

Japan: 123,000 units out of the war, 2 frigates and an aircraft carrier. 30% of GDP and major cities destroyed, with 3,000,000 Civilians dead.

Australia: 4,000 units out of the war, 6 destroyers, 5 frigates and 1 submarine, 5 tankers.

Turkey: 350 ICBMs

Just to note but I'd think China's missile defense would take out quite a few of those ICBMs before they reached Japan's missle defense systems.

Most were submarine launched, south of Australia. And I made sure I flew them into the upper atmosphere so that you wouldn't get mad.

Mmmhmmm...

Frankly I could care less right now, just dealing with Russia

Wow, haha. I'm tempted to switch to Taiwan just so I can get in on the action. Speaking of which...I'm pretty sure Retech never took Taiwan, so it should still be blank on the map. Just don't want someone to assume it's part of Japan and obliterate it. It's a mighty fine piece of land.

And Sere: Cameroon - yea or nay? If yea, improvements are being built. I don't feel like getting more specific. Schools. Hospitals. Military bases.

The Brazilian Rapid Response Force lands in Japan, and begins helping to build resettlement and refugee camps for those in the destroyed cities. Brazil will also be airdropping and distributing Food, Water, and Medical supplies to the cities, to help stop anymore needless deaths. A portion of the Brazilian Navy will be located of Japan's East coast. Any attacks on soldiers, ships, or any Brazilian assets will be an act of war, and I control a whole continent, so fighting me probably isn't a good call.

In response to the recent activities near the PRC, project SCATTER and an additional boost to the missile defense system (now including around Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, along with boosting the standard defenses) has begun. The PRC has also sent aid to the afflicted Japanese cities.

Senator Wilkins was found murdered. The FBI have traced the murder to Richard Peters, a militant conspiracy theorist. Peters plead guilty in court and was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

Wilkins' funeral had a huge turnout due to the senator's huge popularity among Americans.

Senator Jenkins broke into tears in the Senate over the loss of his friend. A short period of mourning will take place, and Congress will not meet again for 2 weeks.

SWAG

Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

Just one of those random things I will say...

Polaris, Britian's Nuclear Deterrant in 1980s...

4 Polaris Submarines

16 Missiles in each

3 Warheads per missile

So 192 in total...

This system would be effective up until about 2005... When a Multilayed Ballistic Missile Defence was developed in the USA...Which was 2/5 effective.

Thus if a, small*, 1980s missile system would still be able to drop...115 out of 192...over half...of its bombs, against a state of the the art system(well alright, a US System =P) then I don't seriously think that missile interception will have advanced by any significant way by 2022. We may be able to defeat the 99% of the old Polaris Missiles...But even if 1 or 2 warhead/missiles got though, carrying a Rocco brand Thermobaric warhead of doom, that would be enough to devestate, London, Paris, Brussles, Rio, Washington, Moscow...

*Britian had 192 verses 1,200 Russian missiles for Britian alone...

Thus it is almost certain that if you launch 200 missiles, you will break though with at least 1 or 2 of your missiles.

Yeah its CONSIDERABLY more expensive...but if you happen to take out some vital city then its just as effective....Thus the only real option is a system of deterance...ie more missiles....course that leads to an arms races, leads to the whole game going up because Brazil coughed.

Anyway, just warning you that anti-missile missiles/guns/whatever, are of limited effectiveness...Unless you happen to place an anti-air battery every....500 meters or so across your entire country, and have them manned at all times....super expensive...Or have them all on computer systems an occasionally have 99 red ballons cause you to 'accidently' destroy your neighbours.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I can accept that, it's better to have atleast some missile protection though, since 20 missiles will do a lot less damage than 100. Also, underground missile silos are being built in secret locations, so destroying them will be nearly impossible, and they will still be able to fire if the rest of the country is destroyed.

Following Turkey's bombings of Japan Pakistan will start working on an anti-missile defense to minimize casualties and damage in case of an attack and also stop all trading with Turkey until further notice. Pakistan will spend 50% of their spending budget on the missile defense, 25% on improving the navy, 10% on building tanks, 10% on the air force and 5% on genetics.

And some questions: How do I know when my projects are finished? And if I wanted to invade some place should I PM the plans to archimage_a first?

namnlskopia.jpg

You know, I was actually prepared for that attack, though I thought my anti-missle defences could handle it. Also Archi, where did my numerous fleets that were guarding Indonesia head off to?

To Turkey, I will kill all of your civilians.

-----

Meanwhile, the 100 stratos Jets that were being built to replace the old fashioned and outdated stealth bombers (which I started in 2009, and it's already obsolete) have been completed. They will be used to raze Turkey to the ground.

Oh yah, since Italy didn't do much destruction, after the recapture of Indonesia and Malaysia, then Japan offers a peace treaty. Likewise, Japan also offers one to Australia. It states that the business of war is fair, but a missle attack on civilians cannot be tolerated.
