The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Featured Replies

Indonesia once again refuses to be relinquished. Japan has been good to Indonesia, and it doesn't look possible that Indonesia would leave such a strong bond. Meanwhile, Japan asks Russia again if it (the country) can join TFTA.

If you join the TFTA then you leave the FETA

One would guess they had some nerve gas leftover from when I invaded. Other than that, nah.

It was more out of flavour than out of a good strong military plan.

If you really really want me to try roleplaying their leadership then I will, otherwise just assume both countries are fighting for the next few years and then the Sudan, or Yeman...or pretty much anyone in that general area, takes advantage and controls the whole of Ethiopia and/or Kenya.

I'll do the numbers sometime today.

And Hearts of Iron :P

Japan withdraws its attempt to join TFTA.

To Icu, for Indonesia it's been at least 5 days. I don't know the exact date.

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

I'm still pretty mad that you decided I couldn't counter your "Peace talk" or whatever in any way shape or form, even when I tried to counter it peacefully with propoganda or such.

It was basically "I've started this now, and cannot be interrupted."

2Xeo5.png

Ross, we all get like that...you just need to continue to post until the other person is forced to give up or go to bed.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

You are able to take it from them peacefully still, well slightly peacefully, no deaths at all.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

It was a single day from completion. There was basically no way you could convince them otherwise that far down the road, after I've already invested billions in infrastructure and Japanese companies employing 40% of the workforce. Unless somehow you put in a few more billion dollars and employed more of the workforce, which wouldn't be possible because of the blockade. :P

So essentially I got far enough down the line that Indonesia would see it as interventionism if you came in.

Lol, good one Retech, almost fell off my seat.

"I went over there and took over their country and they really like how all of their companies are foreign owned and everything they see bares the boot print of Japan as a massive reminder that Japan is great, they are not."

Kinda like how British people hate American firms when they are based in Britian.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Not really. 2 years doesn't make a country fanatical over you because you did some trading and such.

At the very least my efforts would have made Indonesia totally neutral again. I'm tempted to throw a fit and just declare that Indonesia is neutral and ignore what you say. Taking a leaf out of dusty's book, so to say. No offense to Dusty of course.

2Xeo5.png

Well keep in mind that by then, it wasn't a Japanese company or an Indonesian company, but it's both of their companies. :D

Also, why do Brits hate American firms based in Britain? I want more foreign firms in America, since they have cool designs. (Has anyone seen a tea-thermos which can put your teabag in for you? It's so cool!)

Because an American company is trying to nab Cadbury, and American chocolate tastes like freaking chalk.

2Xeo5.png

Oooooh, I love Cadbury chocolate. I had it once when this substitute teacher brought some from England. I still prefer Swiss chocolate, but you have to make sure you don't get fat eating it. :)

Errr because we actually like our own goods and our proud of our achievements. American Companies seem to have a completely different work ethic and always involve destroying local culture with low this and high that...Simply put, they are different, and we don't like it.

If they are Japanese-Indonesian Companies then its not really a way to stop Ross from conducting peace talks or whatever... Britian still conducts peace talks....Most countries in fact conduct peace talks with foriegn companies in thier midst...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

That wasn't the main point. My main point is that Indonesia was already so biased in favor of Japan that a Japanese word would be more effective than an Australian one, moving them still in the direction of Japan.

Not to mention that the five days was already up and it was already officially "annexed."

If you couldn't stop a disaster then the least you can do is stop them happening again.

4 years or however much it was is no where near enough time to set up that sort of level of influence.

In other news South Africa declares independance.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

It was already independant. I was following a 30 day timeline for that. Yemen was annexed already though, after I took it over by force with UN approval.

But the point is that Indonesia can still be made neutral with propoganda and such.

And now I remember why I quit before. Sere, you should have made the Annexation time 5-10 years at the least.

2Xeo5.png

When I asked "Can I send troops into Yemen to reform the country, kill the terrorists, and fix unemployment?"

Now naturally the government I would put in is pro-Japanese, since I'd have to protect my business interests which were sent in to fix the 40% unemployment. So the 5 day rule does not apply, as I sent in troops to take down the insurgents which held the country.

Japan pulls the aid out of South Africa. The poor people who had moved into tent cities were forcibly evicted, after aid left the country due to the ungratefulness of the South African government. (What do these millions of poor people do, after losing their jobs and homes because their government?) Japan distributes leaflets and tells the people that it did not want to leave, but the government is asking them to leave.

Indonesia is part of Japan. It is Japan. It is still neutral with you though, since Japan is not an enemy of Australia.

You have well over 500 million people. I have 22 million. Some people like playing as a small country. I do not. Indonesia was pretty much perfect, and losing it has almost killed the game for me.

Being neutral to me doesn't really make it that much better.

2Xeo5.png

Well Japan left a hole in South Africa since it had to pull out developmental aid. Maybe a moderator could make an exception to the "different cultures annexing rule" for you? -hint hint-

Naturally the govenments say yes.

I mostly just ignore people that try to blow up the planet.

And btw, getting UN approval to move into a country and stabilize it doesn't mean you have the authority to prop up a puppet government then annex it. Sheesh.

Look at what the SR is doing in Palestine. That's what UN approval allows you to do.

That's true Archi, but I already did all of that minus the terrorists already (there aren't really many terrorists that can't be dealt with).

Omg Retech, Jesus, just give up Indonesia, you only lose a small chunk of land that really helps Australia. I think if you do it, you will really have a good future with Ross, and will save any hardships.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Switzerland sends aid to South Africa. The Space program is put back to 2020, arriving in 2028.

The people are unhappy about this.

However S-Net has started a massive appeal against Japanese Imperialism, the funds are now being used to help South Africa reform to an Isolationist policy.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
