Small little change for next time you do it pwease. The wittle islands north of Japan, and the chain of islands close to Japan, are owned by Japan, since Russia traded it to us.

----------------

Breaking News!

The Diet (parliament) has voted to give the emporer the right to dissolve the diet at his will. He quickly used his power, and a new diet was elected into office. They quickly passed a landslide of legislation, including denouncing the right of Japan to declare war for imperialistic purposes. New limits have also been added: interventions in the Asian region in aid of an ally or allies will now have a troop cap of 150,000, while interventions in other regions require the request of two or more powers, and a troop cap of 50,000.

Japan's new foreign policy minister has met with the economic policy minister and have decided to better relations with India and surronding countries. The embargo has been lifted, and the naval blockade line has been pulled back so that Indian ships have access to Malaysia. Japan requests that they limit their troops presence to 100,000 soldiers and half a fleet.

The economic minister once again requests Japan's (country, not empire) inclusion into TFTA, after the bid to join FETA was accepted. This means that Japan will be in most of the major international trade organizations. The mission statement of the new government was this: "Never again will we have a raging war that sweeps across the Pacific...or the world. Trade is the engine to peace, so let trade be the way."

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

10 years to somehow evolve gills? Err

No, ten years to design and develop underwater domes capable of housing people for an idefinite ammount of time.

Archi, where's my quarter of Antarctis? I own Queen Maud's land and the nearvy islands.

"There is no way to peace, peace is the way" kinda jargon.

Mather, if you want bits of Antarctica then go and build a settlement there...Otherwise it will accidently on purpose get included in the agricultural land... Wow, Scandinavia is producing a whole contient's worth of food, its amazing.

Oh and remember that each of the domes would need to be paid for seperately, not just free after research.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Abbysinia has declared war on Kenya.

Fighting has broken out with Sudan as well, but the conflict has been confined to a few skirmishes.

(I feel slightly responsible for making sure the new government, which is very pro-African Union, as well as pro-West, is represented. Sere or Dusty can you do the calculation...you know that I don't have any ambitions in that area of the world so it really is just game mechanics.)

Switzerland has turned away Italian Diplomats seeking to annex Switzerland to protect it from German-Franco oppression. Both sides have signed a defensive pact though.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I have several research station on queen Maud's land already, it's Norwegian.

My Stations:

Troll

Tor

Tordenskiöld

Also there's a heap of Japanese stations there as well as a few German and Belgic.

I know, we are a lot of farmlands, the farms start already just 5km or so of Drammen sentrum for example.

I know I must pay for the creation of each dome, they're not exactly free.

Scandinavia starts an attempt to annex Cuba.

I don't think Scandinavia has any legitimate ability to annex Cuba...I would imagine a 50 year transferance period for somewhere that is hundreds of miles away, has no common culture, has an opposing ideology, and is largely isolationist....There is no reason for Cuba to accept Scandinavia....The same reason, I might remind you, why Japan should not have South Africa...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

But Cuba would be successible to an attack from any larger country with decent military technology, the threat alone should be enough to scare them.

BTW: this is not an attempt to gain tactical advantage in an attack, though it might prove usefull in a war.

Australia once again requests that Indonesia be relinquished. Plan B continues at a nice rate.

Asia in general now holds a good view of Australia due to the footage of acts of heroism by Australian troops in a battle they had no requirement to be in.

2Xeo5.png

Mather... What can Scandinavia do to protect Cuba exactly? Your country is not well know for its battle prowess, or fleet size.

Also Cuba only really has the USA to fear, and that is Guarenteed independance after the Cuban Missile Crisis....So realistically Cuba has no one to fear except upstart Scandinavian countries annexing them.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

The TFTA HQ has been finished being built, this will hopefully boost Russia's GDP but quite a bit and all countries in the TFTA by some

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Scandinavia has superior RPG and short range missile technology as well as an aliance with the US (unless NATO was canceled) and friendship with one of the most aggressive countries here.

Right...so your cunning plan is to annex a country who's only threat is one of your allies. This plan is sounding stupider by the second.

Seriously, Cuba would not accept annexation from a capitalist country, or indeed any country. Its just common sense...

America is its 'mother' country.

Cuba declared independance from America and was invaded by it.

Aside from Jamacia there are no sizable countries in the area, except for America.

Cuba and America have a non-aggression pact...

So why exactly would Cuba need protecting by Scandinavia? A country which has a couple of missiles, but no land or water army, and would be incapable of defending the territory from America because of the Alliance.

Added to that the 'the country is scared' excuse seems to be a permenant fixture on Hegemony. Countries are not instantly frightened, if they were then when Switzerland was throwing Nerve Gas around it would be logical for Italy, France, Austria and all the non-play controlled countries to be annexed by Switzerland because they were 'scared'

Or for America to have annexed Europe in 1945 because they were scared of Russia.

The argument is baseless in reality. So lets vote on it Does anyone agree with Mather that Cuba would join Scandinavia? (If less than 4 people vote then it fails)

1/0 Against.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Disagree. Archi makes some good points.

2/0 against.

Building an HQ wouldn't boost your GDP by more than 0.001%.

Need a bit more information, because the way I see it, the military of Abbysninia is still recovering from the battles between it and Russia/Switzerland. And is still pretty divided owing to the fact that it's a multi-national army made from countries that have a long history of hating eachother.

Did you give them any military equipment? Because I'm just going to go with half of Somalia/Ethiopia army combined against the full Kenyan army.

Makes no sense. If you want Cuba just invade it. Peacefully annexing countries is only possible if they share a common culture.

One would guess they had some nerve gas leftover from when I invaded. Other than that, nah.

It was more out of flavour than out of a good strong military plan.

If you really really want me to try roleplaying their leadership then I will, otherwise just assume both countries are fighting for the next few years and then the Sudan, or Yeman...or pretty much anyone in that general area, takes advantage and controls the whole of Ethiopia and/or Kenya.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I think it would increase it more than 0.001% >.>, it centers the trade there.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

It would kinda depend what you did there.

In Swiss News a new film has been released. "Hearts of Iron: Doomsday" is the story of Germany's domination of Europe in 1941, after the fall of Britian. Switzerland is surrounded on all sides, but does not tolerate their soil being invaded, and in 1965, where the bulk of the action takes place, Switzerland is invaded, but holds its ground while the world looks on in anticipation of one nation to lead all others to victory. The sequal "Hearts of Iron 2: Armageddon" is set to release in three years.

Box office ratings have been very high, not just in Switzerland but in most of Europe as well. Only Germany's figures seem to be lacking.

The profits are going into the next film.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I can peacefuly annex any un-controlled country as far as I share several aspects of culture with it, eh?

Or what about this?

Scandinavia attempts to create better bonds with Saudi Arabia by offering saltpower technology and lowered trade prices.

Just wait and see, I've got plans, very peaceful ones.

Saudi Arabia already has strong trading bonds with America, and has no real use for saltpower...

Its more that you need a legitamate reason why you can annex it.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Indonesia once again refuses to be relinquished. Japan has been good to Indonesia, and it doesn't look possible that Indonesia would leave such a strong bond. Meanwhile, Japan asks Russia again if it (the country) can join TFTA.
