So close right now. 4928 kills to 4963 deaths. Im working on the SA guns now to get the extra xp from them. Should be able to get the patches for the UMP45 and the M16 tonight. Also started playing engineer again and I must say Ive missed my CG so much. Working on the platinum start for it. 176 out of 500 kills so far <_<

I'm also working on CG Platinum, and idk how to get the SA guns :cry:

SA guns are downloadable content (cost about £4 for the whole lot). I've got the M95 & M95 SA platinum stars, and now I'm working on the GOL & M24 platinum stars. Got around 300 kills with the M24 and 500 with the GOL (I would check, but I'm downloading the 1.03 patch as of now).

Garand and thompson kills now register for the correct gun. Any kills you got with the garand before the patch still register under the thompson. Also, you get more points for m-comm interactions. I remember getting 50 points for damaging the m-comm and 250 for destroying it. I can't remember how many points I got for arming it, but I think 50 is probably the new number.

Also, I got some nice grenade kills on the hill the russians use to assault the second set of m-comm stations of port valdez.

Did you have problems registering your Veteran Status? Because I own BC1, BC2, and BF1942 and None of them work for the status on EA/BC2 website. Should I call them?

Hmm. I noticed that after the 1.03 patch on PS3 the binoculars are now exactly the same power as the normal scope on sniper rifles, which is annoying, but fair. I like how White Pass (don't know about the other snow levels) has lost the annoying blue tint, it looks much more in keeping with the other maps.

I got put in a round of rush on laguna presa and there was only one squad on both teams. It went much better than I expected. I finally got the "destroy four m-comm stations" pin that match. It was fun supporting my team with motion sensors, laying c4 on walls and m-comms, and using the vss with red dot.

Had a EPIC game last night on white pass. I was the russians and there was a epic fire fight that lasted for about 9 mins or so. The house thats L shaped north of the silo is where it took place. The americans where coming from the north and the west, in a 9 minuet time frame I got 15 kills. We lost the game but I ended 26-13. Tonight I am going to break positive on K/D....I hope :pray:

I think the Garand is my most used gun at the minute.

Hardly been playing recently though but a friend is going to buy it so no doubt i'll be playing again in a few weeks.

Yea, I think playing a couple online matches would register bc1 for you. However, I have read some people who couldn't get bc1 to register. If you do play a couple matches and bc1 doesn't register, you may have to talk to ea live chat again. Hopefully, you have the garand already so you won't have to run into this potential problem.

I've got the ratio I was aiming for, shame that 4 is going to be almost impossible unless I don't die for the next 1500 kills. Around 350 kills off the GOL platinum star, then I'll move onto the M24.

if you look at it like that then you never will. All I can say is try to aim for going positive every round and it will come.

When this site started keeping records of me, my K/D was around 0.96. At one point my K/d was 0.71 After a lot of time though I finally got it. So just take it one step and a time and it could happen.

Yea, I think playing a couple online matches would register bc1 for you. However, I have read some people who couldn't get bc1 to register. Unfortunatly I do not. I only own 3 Battlefield games total (BF1942, BC1 & BC2) So I need all 3 of them for the required 2 Veteran status. I played some unranked BC1 games today. I miss the arty gun. :(

Today, I played this match on nelson bay that didn't frustrate me. We kept rushing the russian team as the defenders. I threw motion mines, while my team mopped up the russians that tried to push forward. I think I got three or four motion sensor pins that match. There was no annoying mortar bombardment, and they never made it pass the first set.

I don't think anybodyhas any respect for your K/D ratio, when you obviously just camp at the back with sniper rifles. Probably one of the strengths of this game vs CoD is that people don't seem as preoccupied with K/D, instead looking at SPM and W/L, raise them if anything because they're well below average. Though I suppose I can't talk because my W/L ratio is something like 0.80, I think I'm something like 10 games down, all of which I think occured when I was put on this terrible team which lost about 10 consecutive games. I stayed in though because I was having a good time.

 

I seriously think it would be a good idea for the next big game like CoD or Battlefield not to track things like K/D, instead tracking stuff like score or captured flags, maybe W/L still or make it so that you're rewarded heavily for winning, like maybe you can only get XP and rank up if you actually win the match. Then people would be encourage not to camp and use the same guns all the time, and actually play the objective and try to win.

Fair point. I try not to stick to one position and do actually move around. Obviously not like assault & medics but still mobile. I'm going to make a new account and just do all modes & classes on that like I didn't do this time around.

That'd be a good idea, though I reckon it'd be better if it only penalised you for staying in the same areas all the time. That way assault, medics and engineers don't get pissed off because of recon not doing enough and causing them to lose.

Oh wow. The M1 just demolishes people. With Mag ammo it takes 2-3 hits to down someone, which I can fire in about half a second.

The new 'maps' are Squad Team Deathmatch on Nelson bay, and Squad rush on Laguna Alta. The one thing that I noticed in the video was that there was a M14 EBR with a 4x scope on it :thumbup:
