Ideas for skilling

Featured Replies

Basically, due to exams at school I'm quitting. I don't really wish to invest in rares or any other items for that matter, i'd rather invest in skills so I have a guarantee when/if I come back.

I've sold everything of value that I own and have gathered 204m. I would like to spend it on skills but am rather stuck.

Basically, just tell me what you'd do or think I should do and i'll consider them and more than likely do them

Here are my stats

Wait you're quitting, but you're still going to spend the time to train skills?

I guess if you want to burn money quickly Herblore is the way to go. You can use up about 15m an hour, depending on what method you choose.

Red chinning to 99 range, spend a bit on pray and 99 mage

Well, you want some skills higher IF you ever come back.

Well, here we go:

Moneydraining skills should be trained first. Prayer, herblore, construction.

Prayer by buying all dragon bones, and use an gilded altar, is a quick way. Level 80 prayer, maybe 90, will look good and help you if you come back.

Construction so you can use gilded altar, use best lectern for spelltablets and use it on the best telescope you can for Shooting Stars.

The lectern can provide you a moneymaker if you get back.

Getting herblore up is good too. The extreme pots are really nice, and if you come back, and don't have lots of money left, you can use the extremes to use combat to gain money.

I would say: keep like 10 or 15 mil in bank, just in case. With 190 mil you can still buy some nice levels.

Could get 96 herb + 95 pray with that money AND have a lot left over for something else. I would definitely do those.

Dragon bones alone are like 130m. Herblore to 96 could cost you only 70m but that would be with making serum 207.

Imo just max your prayer level. Fast and afkable and very helpful.

2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

If i was i your situation, I'd spend it all on prayer and herblore and go on a boss hunting frenzy when you come back :D

Well, you could get 95/94 and use boosts. That saves a few million.

Also, those last 4 prayer levels are absolutely useless. It's much better to spend that money on herblore.

I'll try to be reasonable if I were in your situation. You already have great stats that can make you money whenever/if ever you choose to come back. You say you will be quitting for awhile, but if you are able to make some limited time every week this is what I'd do.

Fill up your coffers in Miscellania and collect tree seeds from the bird's nests. Buy some herb seeds. When you get a chance to log in, replant trees and collect herbs. Farming is time consuming, but requires the least amount of effort, and you could stock up for herblore later on, or cash in herbs on the spot to keep your bankroll somewhat intact.

This might work for a bit, but if hes quitting, I doubt he will keep on paying for members. Thus MTK wouldn't work.

Prayer to 95 or 99. 99 is not *useless*, but it isn't that big an advantage over 95.

Herblore to 92, so you can stew for overloads.

Construction and Crafting to 80.

Mage and range to 99, through barragaing/stringing ammy/other and chinning, respectively. Chin AFTER you train prayer, so you save on p pots.

Perhaps go for 99 Magic, Range and Prayer to max out combat altogether. With any left over might as well put it on herblore :)

Finally on here to update that I have officially quit! It's been fun.

I would say pray + herb would be most useful if you came back due to soul split + extremes/overload

Smithing/Con for the best 99 capes imo (I think you'd need SOME sc hammers to get to 99 in both anyway)

Of course you could vary them up from any of the buyable skills.

It might also be worth it to get to 67+ con to stew + crystal saw a gilded altar if you decide to do prayer. It's what I've done anyway, although tbh I don't train my prayer too much, but your own gilded altar is useful.

Thanks for the help guys, as for now I've got 70 construction and will get 96 prayer. I would keep it at 95 just for soul split but I guess it would be nice to quit with 138 combat.

I think the leftover 20m or so will just go into getting some skills to 0 or 5. I quite fancy the idea of clearing myself out completely minus things of no monetary worth (sextant, chart, watch, etc) and then seeing if I could make it back when I rejoined.

Anyway, thanks for the help all.
