Hi everybody (favorite community by far)

 

I've been having trouble with runescape lately. Crashing is starting to become extremely common. Im not sure if its the server or if its my computer, but anytime I induce loading (world map, teleing, logging on). It brings me to a different screen and says something along the lines of error_crash. Is this a problem with the runescape servers themselves, or is there something wrong with my browser?

I've been having this problem lately too. It's not terribly frequent (once a day or two maybe), but I've never had it happen before recently. The rest of my computer is working great, and I play with the RS client, so who knows.

Yea I typically have one window Rs (quest guides usally). Thats about it though. I play on the client as well. Is there a way to actually download runescape?

Delete your temporary Internet files, browser history, cookies, etc. Make sure your Java is up to date, and run Runescape/whatever browser you're using in administrative mode (if applicable).

I've been having the exact same problem. What I did was go to the java website and click the thing that says "do I have java?" it will check if you have the latest update. If you don't, update java. It seemed to work for me(so far....)

If everyone hasn't already noticed, there have been so many server lags lately, it's not even cool. I used to notice like 2-3 a day, MAX, a few months ago, but now there's like 10+ on any world I go to. I think Jagex needs to reduce CPU usage or something...

Might wanna try checking your computer. I haven't had any lags unless someone calls or picks up the phone, i have dialup btw.

 

Other wise i only lag when loading a website or something along the lines of that.

My game has crashed a few times since the last update... nothing too terribly bad, though.

I started noticing it after the last graphics update to standard detail a few weeks ago. It's only gotten worse since then too.

I died in the phoenix lair thanks to a lag spike that booted me from the server. Running newest Java too.

Try messing around with the in game settings. Lower the CPU usage, turn off AA, lower ground detail, etc. If you really need to do something important or high risk, use safe mode with the settings at the lowest. If the crashes keep happening, use a different browser (or if you're using the client use an actual web browser). If none of that works it could be an issue with your connection.

It usually only happens on worlds 2 and 44? I think, whatever the soul wars world is. I think it is a problem on how Jagex controls a lot of people in one area. It gets annoying but its not like you will die from it or anything :).

Yea more server lags than anything. Started less than a month ago -.- so annoying

I played in high settings (on standard detail) before the last standard detail update but I switched to lowest settings possible after it due to lags and it's still not any better.

I've been crashing a few times a day for the past couple weeks. This has NEVER happened to me before. Ever.

yes i have been lagging alot but no crashed servers that i am in

i get sometime a world i go to and i cant join cuz of the connetion but ever sense the new slayer monsters
