btb, a note on gnome killing.. you will always kill gnomes. but depending on the roll, you may have alot of loot or nothing at all.

(16) Retech: you were lucky, you gain 200 gold, 10 orbs of life force ( remember you cn only have 5 out on the field at the moment) and 3 gems. gems are usefull for forging things, allowing you to make somthing without using some minions ( 10 minions per gem, so obviusly gems are rare)

Ares sends his scout team to look in the temple.

(13) Ross: The minions are led by a smart, upstanding minion. (WOOPS! wrong minion master!) Scathe " officer material that one is, Master, but truely, no matter how smart the officer, only the minion master or the overlord himself could make a truely good plan, minions have a tendency.. to go beserk, somtimes." Scathes words prove almsot true, as upon seeing their foes, the miniuons almost charge them, in a rare feet of extreme will, you order them back. you note that going back there with only minions would be a bad idea.

(14) Retech, you find a camp, this one is actually manned by sentries, and you may have a tough time beating them. thankfully, a blizzard rolls over, and helps you with your magic abilities (+1 to your magic rolls) this will also blind the enemy (-1 to enemy rolls)

Ares decides to personally go to the temple with his team. The smith continues working on a platerobe, with a skull shoulderpad.

(10) Ross: your smith is progressing rapidly wiht your armor. when you arive, your presence stops the minions from charging and you see good news! The temple not only contains no walls, and an obvious pedastal, bet there are three other objects of value there along with the hive! a minion object, a health object, and a mana object! unfortunatley, your minions have caused the guards to get reinforcments, and it will be a hard battle for you to suceed. Scathe " master, you are a magical arts weilder, i sugegest training your magic on some targets i ahve set up back at the lair, before you tackle the temple."

Ned and his remaining minnions then try to tame the [bleep]es and pups.

 

Magic type is going to be all-around magic as long as it is honourable, but if I have to specify then it's nature, like the kind used by the Children of the forests in the books (though they're never seen).

(19) what luck! with your minions, you caoture all the females and their pups! but even better, you find a magical artifact! (choosse either health or mana, or minion upgrade) your injured minion heals quickly.

I chose minion upgrade. One of the pups are given to Rikkon, he names it Shaggydog. All the [bleep]es and the rest of the pups are placed in the kennels.

 

Ned brings his minnions and goes out to search for a weirwood tree.

(19) you find a wier wood tree, with only one guard, and 3 cages of gnoes. these cages are extra strength, so the gnomes wont break out any time soon.

Ares attempts to storm the temple using his 3 minion and 5 slave force, along with waves of fire magic to be hurled at any defenses.

Scathe " what are you doing master! thats suicide! you need to train your magic before even attempting this!" ( you sure you wanna go thru with this?..)

Ares trains his fire magic on a dummy or something?

Ned asks for a seed from the tree and why the gnomes are inside cages.

(there are 250 of them dudde, a force of 11 is not going to win. you need toi head back to your lair. or you can stay and die, your choice.)

(5) the guard is scared out of his wits, thinking you are going to release the gnomes to make them eat him. he pulls out a horn, and blows on it, causeing 10 other guards to appear.

Ned sais that there is no need for backup and that he only asked for a sword from the weirwood and why the gnomes were caged.

(If that is so, then why did you tell me to go out there in the first place?)

 

Ares gives up and goes back to his castle, sending out another scouting party to look for something interesting. Meanwhile, he trains his fire magic.
