mikieh86284
was wondering what the strangest film most of you folks have ever seen was. and anyone who says napoleon dynamite should just continue to disregard films that were made before their births and spare themselves future embaressment by remaining quiet. How2PK
I think I can nominate Roman Polanski'sWhat? for that...Together with 8̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâý. Oh, Gouttes d'eau sur pierres brÃÆÃâÃâûlantes is pretty weird as well. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! mikieh86284
good, good. and what strangest film topic is complete without Eraserhead or any lynch for that matter. but that one especially. it's just so awesome.
How2PK
good, good. and what strangest film topic is complete without Eraserhead or any lynch for that matter. but that one especially. it's just so awesome. Yea, and of course the early Bunuel movies, Un Chien andalou, and a newer Bunuel: Charme discret de la bourgeoisie, and probably the Andy Warhall movies, but I haven't seen those. I think we can nominate most of Fellini's work after La Dolce Vita aswell. Maybe NÃÆÃâÃâóz w wodzie, pretty abstract early polanski. And of course almost every single Von Trier movie, complete own style, kind of strange, but very fresh...Gus van Sant's minimalistic trilogy is pretty different aswell...Festen, the first Dogme '95 movie.. indy500fan
ive seen my fair share of "strange" movies, but none of them would probably be considered the strangest. probably not even close. but anyways: oldboy, pi, and run lola run are probably the "strangest" ive seen (i just looked at my dvd collection, i only have 100 movies, so ive seen a lot more, and there are probably a lot more stranger ones)
slasherdb
I have to nominate a japanese film called battle royale. Unruly schoolkids sent to an island, armed and forced to kill each other, some got submachine guns others got frying pans, last one alive got to go home. Quite disturbing but very entertaining, i found it quite comedic, but then again i do have a twisted sense of humour lol.

krunkthemonk
PumpkinHead was probably the strangest movie I've ever seen. It was on scream a few months ago. The plot was unusual but there was a pretty hot girl in it  The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.
Greatsilverwyrm
We talking strange or interesting? If the former.. I know people are gonna hit me for this, but, Pink Floyd's the Wall was pretty strange. Good, but strange. If the latter, Primer. Very interesting. How2PK
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Brazil, 12 Monkeys...And then you could go on and name all kind of obscure B-movies, but I don't think some of them are allowed here...>. Rizla
As Requiem For A Dream, Donnie Darko and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas have already been mentioned, i'll have to go with Spun. It's not like the film is hard to follow, but the way it's shot makes it very odd. It's basically a film about people who use/deal/make methamphetamines, and it's filmed in a way that shows you what people are seeing when they take the drug. It's really well done, and a personal favourite of mine (the film, not the meth :P). Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
indy500fan
fear and loathing, donnie darko, requiem for a dream, clockwork orange are all pretty strange, i just have seen them so often it doesnt seem to be all that strange to me  . a lot of sci fi movies are strange, its pretty much part of their genre's description. I'd rather nominate "Pi" than Requiem for a Dream for strangest movie, it's still a very high quality movie though. I'm so jeleous btw, I want your "Pi" DVD cover, it looks so much better! :( Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! indy500fan
being john malkovich is really strange, i should of thought of that, i just watched it last week. i was watching with a friend, he sits through half the movie reading comic books, then complains he doesnt know whats going on and says its a stupid movie. he never gets any of the movies though, a little slow sometimes. I was always confused when watching "Being John Malkovich", its kinda confusing, by the end pretty much everything should be cleared up though. watch it a second time and youll get it perfectly. Katastrofen
I'd have to add Dogville to the weird movies list. Oh, and Mulholland Dr. and Blue Velvet, because David Lynch = twisted. If the latter, Primer. Very interesting. Primer lost me towards the end. :o I think I'd need to rewatch it.
