friend got scammed

Featured Replies

So a friend of mine recently got tricked into spending all his money on broodoo shields, which nobody wants to buy. Are there any good ways he can get rid of this junk?

Keep moving on with life and laugh about it later.

OR

Trick someone else into buying all of them!

One has to ask the question, why did the original person have all those shields? Did they get tricked into buying them too?

Use them in junk trading?

I see people using them everywhere. Your friend was smart to buy in. Is that what the "scammer" told him?

In all seriousness though, theres really nothing he can do except junk trade with em. How much did he spend on them?

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

He spent 2m on them which was everything he owned. He now has 2m worth of broodoo shields and nothing else. I can't think of anything to tell him but simply go make money from scratch and look for ways to use them in junk trades.

Honestly, now days having tons of junk is a much better situation than before the rise of junk trading. Mainly because it doesn't matter if people use them or not, once he gets money back, he can loan out things or over trade with the junk. Personally I find myselff lacking junk, so just tell him/her to hang on to them and they will come in handy later. no biggie, like everyone said just laugh it off and keep on makin money.

if he has something lendable, he could sell them by lending an item.

or shove them in GE for min and hope he gets lucky, WHILE making money from scratch.

If i hadnt sold my gs and fury i would have just boughten them from him and then just use as junk to lend with. Sorry, maybe one of the other forum members will be nice and do that for him. Its not like the person lending them is losing anything by helping this guy out.

EDIT: I do agree that is an Idiot for buying broodoo shields tho.

In other words: We got a ban hammer in varrock mines. It's jackin yo [censor] bots, slappin yo macros up, tryna ban em, so ya'll need to hide yo scripts, hide yo clicks, and hide yo logs cause they bannin errbody up in here.

They're not entirely useless, but I can't justify owning more than one.

His best bet may be to make some more money, buy something that's about to become rising, and sell it with them. (I wish I knew how to find such items.)
