April 6, 201016 yr Author good new and bad news. good news is i can play with a low ping. bad news is the sound is WHACK! theres a horrible echo, and it just makes a whole lotta weird noises. also, my fps isnt 70 any more, its back down to ~30-40 I like getting hard when I PK
April 6, 201016 yr Have you updated the sound driver, I don't think I've seen you saying so. Also, the problem is not to be solved by Microsoft but whoever made the bad driver, don't blame the OS for what it doesn't have much to do with. Also, have you tried disabling homegroup?

Also, have you tried disabling homegroup? That's why I think its something windows 7 specific, as he said there have been a lot of people with the same problem. I doubt they all have the same sound card, admittedly I haven't checked though. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
June 10, 201016 yr The OS isn't the issue. I get 24ms average on both XP and 7. Might wanna kill some process that you aren't using. For more help start->run-> type msconfig. Then once that opens take a look under the startup tab.
