Also, the problem is not to be solved by Microsoft but whoever made the bad driver, don't blame the OS for what it doesn't have much to do with. Also, have you tried disabling homegroup? Also, have you tried disabling homegroup?uhh..whats a homegroup and how do i disable it :3. also, if the driver was bad, why would there be a [cabbage] ton of people with the same problem? wouldnt the company have fixed the problem by now? and i dont need to update anything. everything is up to date, i got my computer last friday. the weird noise i was talking about comes from when i run crossfire in xp service pack 3. i get low ping in it, but the sound is whack. its fine when i run it in windows 7 mode or w/e. I doubt they all have the same sound card, admittedly I haven't checked though. For more help start->run-> type msconfig. Then once that opens take a look under the startup tab.
