In RSC you got 1000xp HP xp, instead of 1200~ ish you get now, which is 9hp, but it was 10hp back then (not xp wise though)

All that happened is you kept an old account of yours that had 9 hp. There are plenty more level 3 skillers (zzzamorak) out there with a much higher total. (sucks to see 2 attack on there though aha, how did that happen?)

If I'm right in thinking, it was based on the class that was picked for the character, which could possibly be related to only having the 9HP (Not sure if other classes yielded only 9HP too.) - you can see both the original poster and the other account mentioned, "ioveliest", have similar stats such as 2 Prayer and 2 Attack.

You can't pick classes in runescape. To get a account with 9hp max, you had to start the account about 8 years ago. You had 9hp coming off tutorial island if you started playing rs during the RSC era.

 

I think they changed this in 2003 before they released RS2

I'm pretty sure you chose a class and it gave you a small boost in the respected stat.

 

I remember something about miners getting more mining xp to start with.

No one's the first at anything anymore, basically. And please don't bring up some obscure example of "first to collect 100 d chains from dusties." You know what I mean... Things like these, at least 10 people before you have done. Even if they leveled HP afterwards. 2001-2010 is plenty of time to get 1k total. All they had to do was make a skiller in RSC and not level combat.

Yeah, i was pretty sure that you got 10hp starting even when rsc was around. Couldnt remember what hp i started at tho, so i left it open that they changed it with rs2. Thanks for informing us :)

I can settle this.

 

In RSC, after the "starting class" system was removed from the game (you could get small boosts in combat stats as a "warrior," a boost in magic level as a "wizard," etc.) all characters started with level 1 in all skills, and 1000 hp exp. However, even though 1000 exp isn't normally enough to have level 10 in a skill, it was enough to have level 10 hp in RSC. When RS2 was released, Jagex removed this exception from the game, so that new players would start with 1154 hp exp instead and all the old 1000 exp characters would have level 9 hp.

 

 

This change was NOT made when tutorial island was released, but only later, with the change to RS2. As a matter of fact, I have a (nearly unused) account with level 9 constitution named "Tuto Island".
