I don't think you understand that.Oppression is a natural part of any system except Anarchy... And anarchy will always lead to oppression.... It's cyclical. The best thing any government can do is to preserve individual liberties while at the same time trying to preserve laws so governance doesn't fall into the hands of the collective (under the banner of individual rights) and just lead to mob-rule. How is GDP easier to calculate? You have to estimate the effects of your improvements to infrastructure, you don't have definitive numbers. Realism. Yeah.
