Tbh applyapple, you're just the average newbie at runescape. Once you get to a higher level, you will have learned more about the game and won't have silly thoughts as this one. Keep playing and enjoy the game for heaven's sake! And play however you like, if you're getting owned at pvp, then stop, and go do something else. :thumbup:

I don't do pvp. I just see this & feel like it's unfair to me. (In accordance with my insane code, I'm waiting till I have 85 slayer before getting a whip).

Newbie? I've been playing about a 2.5 year total, have 272 quest points, am combat level 86, and total level 1406. Is that newbie?

 

I don't see what the problem is with potions. Explain, why is potions bad? Why is boosts bad? Why is whip being more superior to Dragon Longsword 'bad'?

I feel that too many of these stronger things are too easy to get.

But you're comparing Dragon Longsword to Whip. The average joe has a whip, even the level 90s in the GE has a whip. And the fact that you can also borrow stuff, I don't see any problem in it.

 

If you find RS too easy, either go solo the Corporeal Beast or suck it up. Tbh.

I have no interest in affording one. I have interest in getting level 85 slayer and then getting ahold of a whip.

I know super sets are cheap as heck, but the def/att pots don't buy quickly, and I consider it a waste of money.

you remember before the GE but you don't understand how W1/2/6 worked for buying stuff? Also super sets cost 15k per hour repotting every 5 minutes for a ~15% boost in combat abilities. How in anyway is that a waste of money?

People use potions and boosts for a reason - To allow them to hit higher and more accurately.

 

How that is a problem I fail to understand. Sure - They can be replaced, but how is that a problem when every player has the equal opportunity of using them, for a measily cost of roughly 30k/h. There is nothing wrong with it. People who decide to use their prayers to train can, shall they pay for the prayer potions. Why that is a problem is still a mystery to me.

 

And why do you refer to people's combat levels anyways? Level 70 with 99 strength is no different to level 120 with 99 strength. Granted, the level 70 is a pure and dont have turmoil/piety/str boosting armour, but they still have the same strength level. The determining factor of high hits.

 

Rune Scimitar can hit in the high 40s if you give yourself enough boosts. Such as Turmoil Full Bandos Ovls and more.

 

Is that unfair? No, not really. If it's PvP you're talking about - Then it's a completely different story.

 

Pures lack defence, which makes them godly and puny at the same time, depending on the circumstances. Besides - They cripple themselves in so much of RuneScape they are practically a PvP only account.
